The Staffordshire Football League is an adult Saturday competition in Staffordshire. Its official competition website is published as the Staffordshire County Senior League, reflecting the league’s history and its place in county football.
The league’s current official competition pages show a Premier Division alongside Division One and Division Two sections. Fixtures, results and tables are provided through FA Full-Time, where clubs and supporters can follow the live competition detail.
The competition traces its roots to the Staffordshire County League, formed in 1900. After a separate southern league emerged in the 1970s and later folded, the original competition returned to its earlier title. In 1984/85, the leading clubs formed the Midland League while the remaining sides continued in the Staffordshire County League.
The modern Staffordshire County Senior League was created in 2005 when the Midland League and Staffordshire County League combined. The former Midland League clubs became the new Premier Division, with the other sides forming Division One and Division Two. The league’s history records clubs progressing from its Premier Division to higher-level competitions when they met the relevant criteria.
Visit the Staffordshire County Senior League website for league news and competition information, and FA Full-Time for live fixtures, results and tables.
