The Telford Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Telford, Shropshire, England. It was founded in 1970 and currently has over 70 teams competing in 10 divisions. The league is affiliated to the Shropshire County Football Association.
History
The Telford Sunday Football League was founded in 1970 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw just 10 teams competing, but the league has grown steadily over the years and now has over 70 teams.
The league has been won by a number of different teams over the years, with Polonia Telford being the most successful, having won the title 10 times. Other notable winners include AFC DUB, Elizabethan FC, and Impact FC United.
Current Season
The current season is the 53rd season of the Telford Sunday League. The league is currently being led by Polonia Telford, who are followed by AFC DUB and Elizabethan FC.
The league cup competitions are also underway, with the C. A. Ford Memorial Cup being contested by the top teams in the Premier Division, and the Kath Ford Cup being contested by the teams in the lower divisions.
