The Pioneer Youth League
The Pioneer Youth League is a youth football competition serving South Devon and the surrounding area. Its 2025/26 rule book, published by Devon County FA, identifies the league by name and confirms that its participating teams are subject to annual sanction through the relevant football authority. A youth competition across South Devon
The league is for youth teams, with its rules drawn from the FA's Standard Code for Youth Competitions. This establishes the competition as part of the organised youth-football structure rather than a one-off tournament. Team and division arrangements can change between seasons, so parents and clubs should use FA Full-Time for the current competition picture.
Inclusion, Respect and safeguarding
The league's published rules say that it and its clubs are committed to promoting inclusion and eliminating discrimination, and refer to the FA Equality Policy. Clubs must also comply with FA initiatives adopted by the competition, including England Football Accredited and Respect programmes. All participants are required to follow the FA Regulations for Safeguarding Children.
