The Youth League

The Youth League is an amateur football league for players aged 16-21. It was founded in 2000 and is based in the United Kingdom. The league has over 100 teams and is divided into regional divisions.

The Rules

The Youth League plays to the FA's Laws of the Game. However, there are a few additional rules that apply to the league:

  • All players must be under the age of 21 on the first day of the season.
  • There is no limit on the number of substitutions that can be made during a match.
  • Teams must field at least five players who are under the age of 18 in each match.
