What is Wednesday 5s?
Wednesday 5s is a weekly 5-a-side football league that is played at a variety of venues across the UK. The league is split into 3 divisions, so that there is a competitive level for all players. Matches are played between 7-10pm every Wednesday, and each team consists of 5 players.The league is open to players of all levels, from beginners to experienced players. There are no trials or tryouts required, so anyone can sign up and play.
The cost to play in the league is £34 per team per game. This includes the use of the pitch, referees, and match balls.
How to join Wednesday 5s
To join Wednesday 5s, simply visit the 5s Football website and create an account. Once you have created an account, you can search for a team in your area.
If you can't find a team in your area, you can also create your own team. To do this, simply select the "Create a Team" option on the 5s Football website.
League rules
The rules of Wednesday 5s are similar to the rules of regular football. However, there are a few key differences:- The games are shorter, lasting 30 minutes each.
- There are no throw-ins. Instead, the ball is put back into play with a kick-in.
- There is no offside rule.
