Wigan & District Youth Football League

The Wigan & District Youth Football League (WDYL) is an amateur football league for youth players in the Wigan area of England. It is affiliated to the Lancashire County FA.

History

The WDYL was founded in 1922. It currently has over 40 clubs and over 200 teams.

The league is divided into a number of divisions, based on the age of the players. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by Division One, Division Two, and so on.

Season

The WDYL season runs from September to April. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away.

The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the next division.
