Away league match played on 30 October 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

3M arrived at St. Crispins to face Cannie Man in a vital league game as 3M looked to continue their recent good form. Guest was returning to the side after his opening day injury with Bailey coming in up front and Stark returning to the defence. 3M came flying out the blocks and scored after 2 minutes. After being fouled, Tyler picked himself up and expertly placed his free kick in the bottom corner. 3M continued to press and took the game to Cannie Man. Dunnet and Tyler looking assured and comfortable down the left hand side in particular. With 3M dominating the play they doubled their lead after good link up play from Earl, Edmonds and Tyler culminating in Tyler having a shot which the Cannie Man keeper saved as the ball ricochet off the keeper a Cannie Man defender inadvertently kicked the ball into his own goal. 3M for the main had a fairly comfortable first half with Cannie Man's only real threat coming from long throws into the near post Rory Delap style whenever they had the chance to hurl the ball in. Half time 2-0 up and cruising!! Cannie Man came out in the second half looking much more for up for the fight and began to put 3M on the back foot. 3M solid looking defence now began to look ragged after a Cannie Man throw in the ball was switched over to the back post, as the ball came back across the six yard box Atkins dived full length and as the ball dropped loose a Cannie Man player was on hand to tap the ball home. With Cannie Man now getting more and more on top the equaliser soon followed. Another long throw came into the near post and the tall Cannie Man forward neatly nodded into the corner of the net. 3M looked to fight back but Cannie Man took the lead after a through ball put the lanky Cannie Man forward clear on goal as he cut across Vaessen the ageless defender stuck out a leg and the Cannie Man forward came crashing down just inside the box. Atkins was sent the wrong way and in an extraordinary game 3M had gone from a comfortable 2-0 lead to being 3-2 down and all at sea. With only 15 mins left what would 3M have left in them to try and come back. Within 2 mins an equaliser, Dunnet took a free kick from the far side of the penalty area after Tyler's run had been halted. As the ball curled in it hit the post bounced up hit the bar and crossed the line. 3M then pushed on for the winner and 6 minutes from time an in-swinging corner from Tyler found Earl at the near post and his glancing header flew into the roof of the net. 3M nearly managed to lose the lead again at the death as Earl attempted to clear the ball fell kindly to a Cannie Man player near the edge of the box, he let fly and as the ball careered towards the bottom corner of 3M goal Atkins dived full stretch to turn the ball past the post and insure 3M picked up 3 points. In an entertaining if at times a little feisty match 3M showed great togetherness and fighting spirit to grab victory from the clutches of defeat having cruised through the first half. This never say die attitude is serving 3M well so far in picking up points whereas in previous seasons they would have fallen apart. Following an indifferent start to the season Tyler has begun to find his feet in recent weeks and put in a man of the match performance.
