Home league match played on 29 September 2016.
Kicked off at 7:00 PM

You've got your Gilgamesh, your Merlin, your Sir Galahad, your Connor MacLeod, we've got our Charlie George and Tyson. These two legends were elevated into the 'Immortal' ranks last night by way of a pretty torrid 2 - 1 defeat to a Reays / Fosters hybrid followed by Battersea High Street's finest curry. It was a really great night appart from the football; fifteen in attendance for the curry and ace to see Duncan, Nye, Dan Botham and Mole all making a rare appearance.

Back to the football, and the starting(ish) line up:

Tyson

Lambo / Stu / Hoof / Charlie

Jnr. / Punt / Sheedy / Our Tom

Ily / Latch

The Reays / Fosters combo were packed with excellent players, including BOC's own Neil Zondervan and occasional BOC'er Thierry 'Tony' Henry. For large parts of the first half we couldnt get anywhere near them. They had the ball for at least 10 minutes at the beginning, running us completely ragged. It took them a while to score though, thanks mostly to some excellent goal keeping from MOTM Kevin Tyson. They did eventually get the goal and we were 1 - 0 down at the break.

There was plenty of discussion at HT about how to improve things. We went for 4 - 5 - 1 with our Tom giving a much needed helping hand to me and Punt in the middle (that was no fun vs Ivan and Tony Henry) and Ily dropping to LM. We were much better for it and drew the second half 1 - 1. Latchford got the goal for BOC, and very nicely taken it was. Hoff Jnr. took a throw to Chris in the area, he used his bulk to shield off the defenders, turn and smash left footed across the keeper into the corner. We could have squeaked an underserved draw after I put Latchford through but the ball took a bobble and he skied it over the top.

Reays have been struggling to field a side for a while now, and we could do with some more oppo sides generally. If you can think of any, let Latchford know.
