Away league match played on 24 January 2013.
Kicked off at 9:30 AM

The Boners started the game against Deportivo La Corona with bags full of confidence and energy. They closed everything down as a team and played beautiful football going forward.

The front four of Darbinho, Dave, Stallone and Santi were forming a formidable quartet and proving very difficult to play against. They gelled extremely well as they cut La Corona’s defence to shreds time after time with lovely one-two passing.

The Boners defence of Keeper Ryan, Simon “The Bear” Peggs and Super Kev were also forming a great understanding and proved extremely difficult to break down.

The Boners found the lead after a loose ball found its way to Darbinho whose outside of the foot snap shot beat the Corona keeper.

FC Barcabonher quickly made it 2-0 following further penetrating play saw Darbinho’s shot across the box find Captain Stallone who smashed it back across the goal in the corner of the net.

The Boners then made it 4-0 after Super Kevin Saunders fresh back from Mexico took on the Corona team and put through Darbinho who grabbed his 2nd with a trademark finish.

Deportivo managed to grab one back after Ryan “Peter” Bogdan made a highly unusual error and gave the ball straight to their striker who found the net.

Darbinho would have made it 6-1 and sealed his hatrick if it wasn’t for the increasingly aggressive Deportivo keeper, who surged out of his box and committed a horrendous two footed tackle on Boners star striker. The over testosterone fuelled keeper thought he had done nothing wrong and shouted “Get up Ronaldo”. Darbinho pleased with comparison thanked the goalkeeper.

Unfazed by the Keepers futile attempt to rattle them, the Boners quickly found their sixth through Santi who skinned the Deportivo defenders and blasted the ball past the keeper. The Boners weren’t sure if it was Pedro playing or the real Santi Cazorla.

The mighty Boners went on to find two more after playmaker Dave put through Darbinho who coolly sealed his hat trick. The former quickly found the ball from the restart and went on a mazy run himself to seal his brace.

Super Kev got in on the action after a cross/shot was fumbled by La Corona keeper into the back of his net. On this occasion the goal went to Kev.

With the crowd screaming “We Want Ten” The Boners rounded off the romp with Peggs using his bat suit abilities to maraud forward and slot the ball into the back of the net from Daves throw in.

FC Barcabonerher are now sitting top of the table for the first time in their history. The Boners now go away to Champions Old Skool knowing another win will make a huge statement for their title ambitions.
