Away league match played on 10 January 2013.
Kicked off at 8:30 AM

The Boners believed a revenge win against Los Pollos would still keep them in contention for promotion on the last day of the season and with a full strength side once more, top scorer Darbinho and Abbott back from his trip to New York both warmed the bench.

The Boners began to dominate possession early on and took the lead through Super Kev who opened his account with a sublime finish following good interplay from Santi and playmaker Dave.

Changes were made and Abbott and Darbinho both joined the action. The Boners quickly went 2-0 up after Captain Inferno Sloane found Darbinho who coolly slotted the ball past the Pollos keeper to grab his 10th Goal of the season.

After an exquisite start by the Boners to the game dubbed “The Revenge”, It seemed they began to become complacent once again against their rivals. Instead of soaking up the pressure from Pollos, The Boners admirably tried for more goals in an attempt to close the gap in goal difference held by Raul Madrid.

This would ultimately become the Boners downfall and despite courageous defending from Peggs and outrageous saves from Keeper Ryan, the lead and eventually the game slipped away. The full time whistle blew ending in a 4-2 defeat.

Despite the loss, The Boners should be commended on their efforts in their first season with great results throughout including memorable comebacks and victories. A special mention for the excellent team football played and results against both Raul Madrid and Old Skool where the Boners never say die attitude proved vital. The Boners hold the honour of being the only team to remain unbeaten against these two newly promoted teams and the only team to pick up 3 victories against them in the process.

The Boners can now look forward to their end of season bash and presentation on Saturday. With next season just around the corner, they are being dubbed to come back stronger and to take the division by storm with a lot of pundits and fans alike predicting the Boners to be seen lifting the trophy at the end of the season. Long live FC BarcaBoneHer!!!
