Report by Randy Bloomshield, Scarborough News Of The World

At the 4th time of asking the Giants can finally finish a soccer tie and taste that sweet taste of awesomeness in and around their mouth, after a polished performance against last season’s Super League B Champions the Newlands Park Boars Res.

The boys could be forgiven for their nervous start after a dismal run of form that almost saw coach Plumpton axed by chairman Pete Stubbings, but it would be Plumptons boys that struck on 17 minutes after a leg snapping felony by a Newlands Boar. Which was a theme for the day sadly. 

Stubbings took control of the soccer ball on 20 yards, with a funny angle and the heroes belief he produced a moment of magic that Sooty would have impressed Matthew with as the ball hurtled towards the far upper 90 and caused the first insertion of the game. The Giants were proper buzzing as they made the score 1 and O.

The Boars deefense waited for the denial flag erection shortly after, but Stubbings was just too fast and too sick as he once again inserted to double the brand new fluo yellow wearing PE kit wearers lead after a fine through ball from the Ozil like Pollard.

The home side were well and truly on top, as the boys from the big smoke of Newlands played really mean, kicking and moaning at the whistle lord as the game was taken away from them like taking candy from a real small baby.

Chris Dove was felled in the DBZ by tenacious midfielder Plumpton on 28 minutes to give the Boars a chance to get back in to the tie, and Dove was that guy to take up the chance as he inserted real good past Pwilly to half the scores to 2 and 1.

The Giants throng of support were potentially fearing another collapse, but that was until Le'Friett continued his impressive early season form and made the Boars sadder than the end of Marley and Me with a rounding of their keeper and real close range finish.

The high line and playing for erections was proving to be a poor choice of tactic by the white and blue uniforms as Le'Friett once again raced clear and made the Giants score an awesome foursome.

First Quarter - 4 v 1

The second period saw a dogged controlled performance never seen in Goal Sports history as top organisation from goaltender Pwilly was added too by Keir Smith, Brad Parkin and Harry Denness who all bossed the Super League B Champions forward line real good and produced a rock solid base to build on.

It would be the Giants who would notch again as the incredibly impressive Stubbings, who had been tearing it up like a puppies new bed all game - saw our number 7 find Pollard in the DBZ and Pollard finished with a no bouncer to cement the epic victory and bag all 3 of the victory points.

A shout out is fired out to Seaside Tommy Wilde who got hit on the head real bad and at one point thought he was ex Boro Sharks central midfield dynamo Scott Kerr. After extensive tests by club Dr, Dr Pepper Wilde should make a full recovery.

No game next week due to the Europa League tie fixture being moved. This means we are open to any friendly requests and have a pitch available!
