Stalemate!!!
It finished all square today at Wright Robinson as Heyside and Withington Rangers fought out an entertaining 0-0 draw.
Lennon was back along side Joel at the heart of the defence (well eventually when Joel found the right pitch!!!) and they were at their best again in limiting Rangers to very few goal scoring opportunities.
As usual Jack was all over the pitch and with a bit of luck could have scored 2 or 3 first half goals but his radar was slightly off target today. Some excellent play from Matty saw him put Jack through 1 on 1 with the keeper who managed to block the shot - luckily there wasn't a bookmaker’s close by or I think I would have put our house on Jack smashing the ball in. Great play though again today Jack another fantastic effort.
Good work from everyone today - Ryan, Jake, Matty and Louis all worked really hard, good play out wide from Louis, good link up play from Ryan through the middle and another good effort all round from Jake who almost scored in the second half as the keeper just managed to push his stinging long range effort away for a corner.
Well done again to George in goal - another crucial save and some timely clearances.
Another point gained today from a decent Withington team who played some really good football at times - with the A team winning the second match we have again extended our lead over one of our closest rivals.
MOM: Everyone did well again today but another good effort from Joel clinched the award.
