Mexocs semi impressive start to the season continued with a win on the Simpsons ground against Kingsford united.

Mexoc reverted back to the traditional 4 4 2 formation with JD lining alongside Danny Willo at centre back flanked by Rich and Faulkner, ribbons Robbo and Dave on the wings with Oshea and J Willo in the centre, Smithy and Daz started up top with the ever present Biceps George between the sticks.

The first half started very shaky for mexoc in a very disjointed 15 to 20 minutes and can thank George for keeping the scores level with a great save from 10 yards out.

After the initial scare Mexoc than hammered the Kingsford goal with Smithy, Dave,Darren, Robbo and Oshea going close, Osheas being a twenty five yard volley that went inches over. Jonny Williams had plenty of shots not once going close.

On a rare foray up the field Kingsford took a surprise and undeserved lead after a mix up at the back between George and JD gifted the striker a head at open goal. Normal service resumed with Mexoc on top but poor finishing and good goalkeeping meant the score at half time remained 1 zero to Kingsford.

A stern talking to at half time from Faulkner saw a much more ruthless Mexoc emerge for the second half and were almost immediately level. Robbo who was causing all sorts of problems for the defence gained a freekick which he floated against the post the rebound was put in by Dave "castaway" Johnson who once again proved Wilson is not the only ball he is good with.

Good play from Rich and Daz on the left created the second which was finished bravely at the far post for Smithys opening goal of the season.

By now Mexoc were fully in control Faulkner was causing all sorts of problems marauding from the back and a great individual solo run saw him brought down inside the box for a penalty despite an atrocious over hit final touch, he stepped up and also opened his account for the season. Bolts then replaced Dave" kick his ass Seabass" Johnson who immediately caused problems and gained a freekick which Faulkner converted into the bottom corner from twenty yards for his second of the game.

The tireless Darren was then replaced by Fraser who made an immediate impact of his own with a thunderous left foot shot from all over of 30 yards straight into the top corner of the net for his first of the season. J Willo was shooting wildly from everywhere and missing. J D come close with a header and Frosty who had just replaced Smithy also looked Dangerous. Willo then amazingly had a shot that wasn't too far away........... from the maccys. The icing on the cake was provided by Fraser who scored his second of the game with a calm finish on the volley from a long Danny Willo ball which caused mayhem in the Kingsford defence.

Final score, six goals to one for mexocs second victory in three games this season. After the game Willo got a shower but still went home rotten as he missed the water. He blames the water.
