(Match report)

Once again being fixtured to play on an unplayable pitch, MWFC failed to continue their winning ways after the triumph results last week.

**Henderson Secondary's pitch was one of the worst, bare empty sandy patches all around especially on both penalty boxes, lines barely visible. Worst off, markings wasn't to standards (penalty box as small as a normal pitch's 6yard box), and not to mention the uneven condition throughout the pitch.

With that aside, prior to the game, MWFC have been hit by injuries and only had 14 brave Wolves for the battle. MWFC started the game fairly and the match was quite even paired throughout the first 15mins.

However, Island69 managed to pick up pace and started to have momentum in their attacking and was able to crack some shots in between but none was really worth a mention. It was JJ Ow & Benson pairing as the gate keepers for the first time and they were oustanding. However, the worst thing that could have happen happened, JJ Ow picked up an injury after a vicous challenge. With no other defenders on the bench, Mark had to come on to replace him while he receives some treatment at the sidelines.

First half ended with a boring 0-0 draw as there wasn't much chances by both sides anyway.

Starting afresh, MWFC managed to pick up pace and was attacking fluently but still wasn't able to create any clear goal scoring opportunity. Just when MWFC is having a compose play, Benson picked up a hand injury after a awkward fall. Both centre backs were out injured and that is the worst case scenario that could happen for MWFC!

Island69 managed to pull off a series of play and one of the through balls managed to slice Wolves' defense apart and goalkeeper wasn't able to savage the situation. 0-1

After that goal, MWFC was fighting even harder to find a goal and close enough, Edwin's first time in-swinging cross managed to find Weihao and he brought the ball down with an excellent touch and laid the ball towards Leonard whom was through on goal but he fumbles and the defender managed to clear it off just in time.

Battling hard and reading the game well, Kenny was almost everywhere. The man of match managed to control the midfield and kept the ball well as well. Opponents were fearful of his decisive and fearless tackles and almost nobody was a match of his class.

Just few minutes left to play, MWFC was having an all-out-to-attack play and managed to pull off a corner. An in-swinging corner skipped everyone at the near post and Weihao was left unmarked on the far side and managed to have a clear header but saw his chance cleared off the line and out for another corner! Closest chance for MWFC! Just at the moment, the corner was clear off almost instantly and Island69's man-of-match managed to got hold of the ball and ran his lungs out with Adrian but still managed to pull a shot off and it was too fast for the keeper to react and it slipped through the near post and MWFC got hit badly on the counter.

The last minute counter attack was costly and the game could have been held on if Weihao's effort wasn't cleared off the line. Tough luck there! Overall, MWFC had a fair performance taken into consideration that both centrebacks were injured in the process. Lets work on a better performance for the next game!
