(Match report)

An equally contested game ended with an offside goal counted and a legit equaliser waived off by the poor match official allocated for the fixture.

MWFC had to fill in numbers with 4 guest players (including two under 15 players) in order to have suffcient players for the game.

Despite the previous defeat (1-4) against Pos Utd, MWFC started the game strongly even with the unfamiliar team fielded. It was a well contested game with most of the actions congested in the middle of the park.

First half ended with a 0 - 0 scoreline and both teams were giving their best despite the heat in the afternoon fixture.

However, poor decisions by the referee made both team players frustrated and unable to have a smooth flow of game. Bad calls were so frequent that both sides gave up arguing for it.

Worst off, the only goal of the game was an obvious off-side goal which the match official allowed it to stand and Pos Utd went on to celebrate the goal.

Trailing by one goal, MWFC went on strongly with a good amount of possession but there was lack of creativity after Shane came off injured after a collision.

During the final few minutes of the game, Kelvin managed to earn a freekick just outside the box and Gerald was calm and composed to send a vicious cross into the 6 yard box and JJ broke free his marker and headed the ball with great speed into the top corner. MWFC was about to celebrate but almost instantly the whistle of the referee was blown to call for a foul by Hanxiang on the defender. It was a soft decision by the official as it went against MWFC which many would have agreed (even the opponents), all hopes were lost by then as there was barely a minute left on the clock.

Shane was credited the man of the match for his creativity, vision and lasting effort to chase every ball and he was indeed the most influential player on the pitch. If he was to complete the game without sustaining the injury, it could been another result after the final whistle.

Heads up Wolves! This game was well played by everyone, we were just unlucky to walk away with nothing due to the poor decisions made. Despite losing again, we will take every defeat as a learning lesson to make us even stronger.
