Well done boys for not giving up. You played well in the first half just didn't get a slice of the luck with the ball especially Danny's shot against the crossbar Danny F made a great clearance of the line and took a bang on his arm for it.. 2nd half even with going 2 - 0 down i could ask no more you fought better with every challenge all over the park, Owen and Goose winning vital tackles. Kieran put a great free kick over for Braiden to score our first ever header well done. Danny R scored two well deserved goals after being set up by Jordon E and Kalem Smith. Let's take that performance into next weeks game. Everyone played there part in the win.

Mildenhall Town 3 – 2 Witchford Colts

To quote the Managers favourite and only saying ‘it was a game of two halves’.

First half it seemed that our luck was out with a great shot by Danny Ryan that bounced off the cross bar. In return Witchford Colts also had a cross bar shot and to be followed by a break that was foiled at the last second by Danny Fatibene’s save off the line - who had already spent the first half running his legs off and tracking back well.

The referees’ whistle seemed to be going into overdrive with a number of firm blows with fouls on both sides.

Halfway through the first half Witchford Colts scored. Craig Langdon (Goalkeeper) did not let this put him off and then went on to save the game going to 3 – 0 before half time. Half time came not a moment too soon.

When the second half started Mildenhall Town showed that they could raise the level and standard of the game – this seemed to be following the same pattern as in the previous few matches. The luck changed as quickly as the quality of passing had done, with a great free kick from Kieran Taylor landing on Braiden Wiley’s head to score our first headed goal of the season. It is worth pointing out that Freddie Hall has also been spotted using his head – well done Freddie.

Twenty minutes gone and the match was hotting up (opposing parents were angry or anxious and not sure which). Great defending, great tackling and better more accurate passing from all. Kalem Smith and Jordan Ebbage each took it in turns to neatly place the ball at Danny Ryan’s feet who then set off as he does best and scored 2 further cracking goals.

Good news for Mildenhall Town as pushes them up the League table – not so good for Witchford Colts. The Witchford Town parents walked away more dejected that the kids who had played!
