Home league match played on 21 November 2010.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Well finally we look like a team with a 100% record. We played a lot better then in the last few weeks; we actually got the ball down and played football.

Canterbury Rovers were young and fit, moved the ball around quiet well and not a bad test for us.

We started well getting the ball out wide, up to Adam and Kaylem who held the ball up brilliantly. This gave the midfield time to get up in support. Hugo pushed was up at every opportunity and we were soon putting a lot of pressure on the Rovers back four.

We should have been 3-0 up with in 15mins with some great football from the wingers and forwards. At times we looked amazing, playing balls to feet and lots of running of the ball.

We got in front with Dave working hard on the right wining a throw-in. Long throw from Mike (Rory) straight over the back four for Adam to put away - great goal and great individual skill from Adam.

Our second came shortly after. Kaylem this time chasing down the defender, winning us a corner from the left. Hugo took the corner deep to the back post for Neil to rise like a salmon and header home, another great goal and probably the best of the day lol!!

Half time came and we were well in control, the boss didn’t say a lot as we were playing some great football had most of the play and Ian had hardly anything to do.

We started the second half sloppy and the Rovers midget who the ball in midfield played a through ball which deflected of a player straight to there forward to slot home. Rovers came at us after the goal but we defended well and Ian pulled of some good saves to keep us in the lead.

Seemed it was the wake-up call we needed, as we began to get back on top of the game. Hugo sweeping the ball to the wingers, Kaylem and Adam working hard upfront chasing everything. We got the reward for working hard Adam winning another corner. Hugo swings in another great corner, bit of a goalmouth scramble eventually falling to Jim who tapped in for a few yards.

New boys Liam and Lewis came on for Ben and Kaylem. Both played well, Liam showed some good feet and skill, Lewis getting in some great positions on the right wing and final ball was good.

Dave got the fourth goal which sealed the win, long range effort superbly struck over the keeper. Game Over!!

Another win, but still something’s to work on for next week;

1. COMMUNICATION (most important) We are so bad at talking to each other, in the dressing room you not shut up but out on the field we cant seem to tell the player nearest MAN ON or call for a pass.

2. COMPOSURE On occasion we panic on the ball, rush the pass and then lose possession (this is also down to communication)

3. Moaning we are a TEAM, we win as a team and lose as a team. We all make mistakes but we need to encourage each other.

We have a great squad of playing now, as the boss says there will be times when he makes changes. Everyone must expect to be on the bench or subbed at some point and it’s up to the individual to keep performing to stay in the team.

We are still 10 wins out of 10 the team to beat and its all down to you. Sometimes we don’t play well but get the result, that’s the sign of a good team - let’s keep it up

One more note - I must apologise to Dan who I injured before the game resulting in him not being able to play - it was a complete accident but im sorry mate!
