A good win against weak opposition. Strong performance in first half but lost a bit of tempo and concentration in the second half. Player performance comments as follows:
Emmet 8 controlled his area well. Constantly looking for the ball and always an out ball if defenders got in trouble. Less said the better about the cameo role up top!!
Sean 8 solid performance again at right back. Maybe poor judgements on rare occasion but recovered well each time.
Archie 8 another solid display. Constantly looking for the ball. Linked well with Aido in front of him. On occasions maybe became a bit narrow.
Greg 8 didn't do much wrong. Involved in mix up for their goal but bar that another good performance. Throughout the whole game made himself available for short kick out and an out ball for midfield.
Paul 8.5 played well for first 60/65 min in center back. First half displayed a great range of passes finding Liam/sean on the right regularly. Composed when on the ball. Caught a few times drifting into midfield. When moved into midfield made some effective runs and plays. Did well for the goal. Unlucky not to get another
Liam 9 MOTM came back well from Thursday. Created a number of chances. Constantly wanted the ball. Made the right pass and very rarely gave away the ball. Very determined was a constant danger when on the ball. PLUS DIDN'T GET BOOKED!!
Aido 8 linked well with Archie. Real danger down the left and beat his man each time. The end product was mixed. But all in all solid performance. Unlucky to not get his goal.
Conor f 8 played more defensively today and intercepted a lot of ball in dangerous areas. Worked well with the centre backs. Offers a presence in midfield which will be missed
Alex 8 took a while to get into the game which is expected as it was his first start here. Was very comfortable once adjusted to the role. Offered plenty going forward. On a few occasions was caught too far forward leaving open space behind him.
Ben 8.5 played well at the head of the 3 in midfield. Some great through balls and switched play well. Involved for whole game and linked play well between midfield and attack. Good finish for the goal
Aero 8 played on the shoulder of the defenders and ran constantly for first half. Good fortune for the goal and really unlucky not to get another couple. Tracked back when needed. Intensity did drop in second half maybe due to lack of fitness?
Conor Nolan 8 replaced Aero and did great when coming on. Some splendid first touches. Work rate was second to none for the time he was on the field and got his reward in the end with the goal. Needed to be more vocal at times to let team mates know he was on
Mark 7.5 slotted into cb. Didnt put a step wrong. Good range of passing out from the back. Calm and composed when on the ball. Needs to get back to full fitness
Neil 7.5 came on in a difficult situation. Tempo gone out of the game. Still offered himself as an option out right. Beat his man and put in some decent crosses. Unlucky not to get on score sheet either. ALSO DIDN'T GET BOOKED!!
