Away league match played on 06 May 2018.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

Disappointing result today. However I have to note some positives from today. Fitness hugely improved. Also ball retention was great from keeper to back four. Options always on and good platform to build on.

Greg - 6 could of done better for 1st goal but we can't ask more from the man doing us a great favour. Calm and encouraging team for whole game. Hopefully brings that outfield with him

Aido - 7 was an outlet all game. Constantly wanting the ball Gave great width and got up the line to support attack. Took players on and managed left side well

Liam - 7 Liam was under pressure quite a lot with doubling up from there left side but dealt with it well. When keeps things simple and retains ball looks a threat. Can still tend to go back to old habits of over carrying but on very few occasions today

Mark - 6 solid with Matty at the back. Was maybe positionally out on a couple of occasions and tried winning the ball and opposition player rolled him.

Matty - 6 Don't whether to mention "THE GOAL". Seriously though, Matty looked to play ball from the back each time. Composed and assured when on the ball. I think with time him and Mark will get a better understanding and get better.

Foley - 6 how you finished game on the field I don't know. As said at halftime you try to get through too much work meaning you can't commit to defence or attack fully. Without doubt the bite needed in midfield but when possession was turned over Paul was over run and out numbered in midfield.

Paul - 7 Paul played well. Constantly looking and taking the ball from wingers on the inside. Passing at times a bit loose but lack of options didn't help. However overall retained the ball well and retrieved the ball in our favour a number of times.

Aero - 6 had the beating of his man but never really happened. Ball came down the left often and in first 25/30 looked our beat opportunity of scoring. Fitness showed in the end came off at half time. Did release/pass the ball better this week and capable of more going forward. Just hard work now?

Rob - 6 got caught positionally on a few occasions. Maybe choosing wrong option. Never really clicked with Liam. Gave good width all game. Needs to believe in self a bit more and take the man on

Ben - 6 drifted in and out of the game at times but didn't stop trying to make something happen either. Didn't have as much of an influence as expected and capable of. Isolated at times and starved of the ball. Goal was cracker (less said about the first effort the better)

Alex - 6 being striker needed to hold up ball better than he did. Ball tended not to stick resulting in quick turnover for us of attack to defending. Ran at the defence at times and looked like was going to get some joy but maybe took too much out of it.

Conor n - 6 took a while to get into the game as it does. But did get going. Tracked back well on several occasions. Positionally caught out on a couple of times but is hard to get up to speed in a quick game like today

Sean - 7 showed great determination when defending. Does exactly what is asked and they struggled to get past. Played even with injury which demonstrates great commitment and drive which we'll need going forward

Emmet - 6 came on up front (partly because of injuries and partly because of a clinical goalscoring reference given by himself). Emmet put himself about but not much to go on.
