Away league match played on 01 April 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

today the lads went to oxford irish and looking at them in warm up i was really pleased on how they went about looking like a team that was well up for it. team talk was quite in depth considering three of the irish players used to  play for my old team  for 4 seasons and i knew what was to be expected and with sol being a ex irish player i got as much info off him as poss.so we were ready and i thought with a bit of luck we could turn this into another 3 points.ttactics was not difficult play the ball on the ground with a quick pass and find the space. defence i need one just holding and one stopper and the midfield ie wingers need to track back at all times because there wingers are quite usefull, strikers hang on the last defender all time and take a gamble. sorted. kick off within mins were down 1 nill then 2 then 3. owen sharp picked the ball up took on a player and smashed one in from 25 yards then then irish scored then corey picked the ball up and trade mark  smash from just inside the box. halftime 4 ,2 down. knowing full well that four of irish goals came through from the long ball and there striker nishuwara had a bit of pace we knew that the 2nd half was all about stopping him.2nd half kicked off and irish scored yet again.then we got one back from charlie then irish scored then another then nathen kerry scored and irish wrapped it up with the 8th of the game. looking back and from what i was watching was not very good at times.it really looked like we was the team with only 10 players. irish wanted it more full stop and they really deserved the win they batteld and was more hungry. ok they was physical and tried every trick in the book and got away with it.think the word is more streetwise where at times we were to kind and gave them the ball to cheaplie.dont get me wrong we played some good stuff at times with the pass and move but it looked like when one of ours passed the ball they thought there job was done.only one really to put a challenge in and try and track them down was owen he done well but we played very high up in the pitch and at times we created to big a gap from defence to midfield.we tryed to follow suit with irish thinking that aa long punt up the pitch was going to open them up but we needed to play it cool and pass and move which looked light years away.at times our strikers was running lost causes and to be fair to them they never really got the service which they required. now as you all know we had a bit of a chat afterwards and i still maintain my policy on regarding next season. i want the lads to go out and enjoy there chosen hobbie which is football and to give the best they can. im proud and set high morals and after today it looked like we gave up and let the other team dictate how it was going to be.all i ask is for 100 percente every sunday to lose every week is not a nice feeling, knowing full well that we never give 100 perecente as a whole team.i have so much faith in you guys and so do all the parents.it would be nice for you guys to have a really good end to the season and go out and play with pride in the spring cup games  and all the tourneys we have entered. this tuesday there will be no training for two weeks and we will come back on the 17th april at 6 pm at radley.. have a good easter break.
