Home league match played on 30 October 2010.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

The Icon at the top of report will be a handshake and I can't change that because if I could I would.

The 1st half was a hard fought half with Sax having the advantage at half time with a 1-0 lead but it could an should have been more with Sax having countless chances to put the game out of site but the shooting boots had been left at home today. The game was dominated from the off by the ref who in my opinion should take a lot of the responsibilty for things that happened in the game and with some stronger refereeing we would not be looking back at the game for the wrong raesons. 1 that sticks out in the 1st half was the penalty, Sam made a great recovery tackle and clearly won the ball but the ref saw a foul and pointed at the spot. The Whotton player struck it well and Jack pulled off a top class save to keep Sax in the lead.

Thge turning point of the game came in the 2nd half after Whitton had got the equaliser and were pushing for another, Finchy had the ball and was looking to play it out of defence when he was treted to a ferocious tackle that had me worried at the side of the pitch and 1 that went right through his boot. The only decision that I could see from the ref would have to be a Red card but he just had a word and got a yellow out and from that decision the game started to turn. The challenges were flying in from both teams and the ref had clearly lost control of the game. Sax were pressing hard for the winner and were on top with the Whitton goal under constant pressure buit a combination of poor finishin good goalkeeping and the crossbar kept it level.

Then the big incident that sparked it all off. Ryan was putting pressure on the Whitton defender and then out of nowhere fists were flyiong in to Ryans head and then all hell broke loose with both sides getting involved in the melee and the ref not taking control so we jumped in to break it up. The ref sent the Whitton defender off and then Kris got a red card after the lino had a word with the ref. According to my watch we still had 5 minutes to play but as soon as we took the free kick the whistle went and the game was over.

Looking back it was a game where missed chgances cost us 2 points but the game will only be remembered for the 2nd half incident and the referee who seemed to lose his way and must take some of the responsibilty for what happened. He an just fill in his report and walk away to Ref again next week but we will have the FA and the league to talk to and will probably get fined at least.

The positive to take from this game is that we made loads of chances and looked good going forward just the final ball that let us down, the defence looked solid for the majority of the time with 1 lapse of cocentration that cost us.

Felixstowe and Walton in the cup next week and if we play like we did today and take some of the chances we stand a good chance of getting something out of the game.

We must try to keep our calm in the future even when things do go against us but the fact that all the players tried to step in to help Ryan at least shows we have team spirit we just need to focus it in the right way and we will be a hrad team to beat
