Home league match played on 27 March 2022.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Alex went in goals the first half and made a Great double save couldn't do anything about the first and personally I thought the second was a foul on the keeper. Came out the second half and did well with a big header and a few chase downs, played more than we expected in all honesty as was only supposed to play a little 10 minute cameo but we had no one wanting to go in goals today so took one for the team.

Reeve again some brilliant headers at the near post and his passing from the back was getting through every time when we got to move reeve forward we saw what use he's going to be in the future with his whip of a ball in for a great assist and naturally pulling back into the defence. Made a great impression of a sealion trying to stop the second goal which made me chuckle but showed his determination to try and stop a goalbound shot.

Leo looked a little distracted at times but did more than he needed too with some aggressive tackles and some great clearances at the back a nice little header aswell to show he's not afraid of anyone either on the floor or in the air which made the number 9 of there's pull away from the game and play deeper

Levi again made some superb challenges in the middle with some very hard work against two players at all times was given a instruction to put the number 9 under pressure and did this almost instantly conceding a free kick. I spoke to the ref to see what the foul was given for in the first half as I felt it was unjust but appeared to be for a pull on the shirt rather than the perfectly timed tackle.

Arthur had lots of direct running again down the line and was unlucky not to get on the end of one early on in the first half we will be working on starting positions in the next few weeks which I think Arthur will benefit from massively. His running and drive is a real plus point and will only serve him well as he develops even more.

Logan appeared to be the one wanting it the most today so much so he asked if he could come off because he was tired, At one point I was about to shout for him to get back and he was already in position ready for the ball to come through and blocked it well every time, got on the end of a throwin to place it cooly at the front post past the keeper for the second goal. man of the match

Jacob played much further forward the second half and was rewarded with a very cooly slotted shot with the keeper in no man's land. We are working with Jacob to get him almost goal hanging as I think he's a natural finisher and we are trying to stop the coming deep and looking to get the ball forward and be the man to be on the end of the final ball.

Taaj made some great runs when he came on and again was putting some great tackles in, had a lovely link up with Jacob and we were very unfortunate not to score from a goalmouth scramble caused by that.

Henley we didn't want to risk today as his legs appeared to be giving him some real grief we tried him in the warm up and we don't want to risk anyone that is sore but I am sure he will be back next week and showing us what we missed out on.

Luke came on and had a tough job of two players in the middle of the park he marked well when we were under pressure and had a very good clearance over the top which Arthur ran on too and was unfortunate not to get one back in the first half. Went in goals the second half to try and shore things up made a great save from a free kick which had a wicked curve on it and did very well to deal with this.

Ty tried to influence the game but with it being a tough opposition he wasn't able to get going and this is showing what a unstoppable force he is in goals Tys shot stopping and fearless attitude would of prevented the first goal at least today I am sure of that as he would of come for the cross into the box and stopping any goalmouth scramble.

We have been promoted to the next lot of teams which is great on one hand as it shows how quick we are progressing as a team and how hard the boys have really worked to grow so quickly (obviously down to the excellent coaching) haha.

On the other hand the cynic in me feels like it has come a few weeks to soon as I feel it would of been good to get some big results against the current crop of teams that were around us, we are going to be in for a couple of difficult games whilst we adjust to the level but I am sure we will get there a lot sooner than expected.

It was a tough game and we were a little timid in getting going this morning but we grew into the game and for large parts of it we were the team on the front foot pushing for the win constantly.

This isn't a game I'm bothered about that we have lost as the next few weeks will be a learning curve for us as coaches and the kids as we work on some set plays but I don't want to be one of these teams that have only one plan and it's able to be worked out very quickly as we did today and have done two or three times already this season with stopping other teams playing. They all gave it a real good go and worked hard and this is all we can ask for as parents and coaches.

Up the Pumas and we go again next week
