Away cup match played on 23 January 2022.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

Ty didn't have much to do at all today, All the pressure began when Ty wanted to come off unfortunately.

Leo made some great tackles again today. Needed some support today instead of the usual just Leo at the back due to the sheer numbers that they were bombing forward with. Linked up really well with Alex at the back with one going towards the player and one dropping back, made some big tackles as always and ran with some excellent speed in the first half from the halfway line to win the ball back and clear it for a corner in a last ditch effort.

Alex made some big tackles and some big clearances had one excellent through ball over the top which set us on the break but most importantly he stayed into his position rather than wandering, Made some huge tackles and showed some great teamwork with Leo which seemed quite natural. I think I may be saying "Alex number 5" in my sleep tonight though ????.

Levi put his body through the ringer today with some huge challenges. Scored and absolute pearler from the corner and put some huge tackles in to stop the play in the middle of the park and at the back. Also gets in with a cheeky assist to Arthur

Taaj back to himself this week lots of running, lots of tackling and two excellent runs, tracked the players back which again really helped the team.

Luke great cross for the corner and played some excellent passes through chased down when needed too aswell. Went in goals halfway through the second half cleared one out for the corner and launched an attack from the back

Jacob ran the lines and had one excellent battle that seemed to go on forever in the first half showed great determination in these aspects. Set up Henley for the third goal after being fouled and the ball falling into Henley's path.

Henley is really coming on strong as we have all seen in recent weeks adding goals to his running and looking to pass which is going to be such a huge benefit towards his game. Scored a really precise goal to the keepers left.

Arthur showing an amazing peice of skill to chip it over and past the defence and cause all sorts of confusion with that silky bit of skill. Got on the end of the move as well to finish a superb goal ran the defence hard and put them under pressure constantly with his running

Logan ran his socks off today in a few different positions and is starting to hold them well, really impressed with his getting forwards and back as it really helps the team bridge that gap between attack and defence.

We didn't do a man of the match because they all worked so hard for each other and that was a real team effort and has shown how far we have come in a really short time, Nova were much better today than the last time we played them as they were more drilled and kept positions well, Yet we turned up and gave it our all and won without any real trouble this was 3-2 loss the last time we played them so the work is coming along nicely.

Tough game but we were always comfortable I thought, most importantly everyone was working for each other, we didn't have anyone slacking and that showed what we can do each week with a bit of graft.
