Home cup match played on 13 March 2022.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

Luke started in goals made some great clearances and had 1 big save to make which he did very well. Second half he came out and whipped a corner at the front post to which the keeper let it squirm underneath him and gave us a much needed goal.

Reeve played some brilliant passes later on in the game across field this again caused many issues as the defence was rocky but needed testing and he did this with assurance and accuracy, made some great headed clearances and put everything into the game.

Leo came back after a few weeks away and did his job perfectly controlling the attacks and working hard throughout, even went on a cheeky little run and released the forwards with a great through ball.

Levi back to his best with some huge tackles which really made the difference in the middle of the park when we were being overrun the timing of his tackles has improved so much and is a real asset to have in the middle of the park. Man of the Match.

Arthur had some very good runs down the wing and caused a few issues for the defence that needed pressure and he provided this in abundance via his direct running.

Logan had a brilliant game and his positional sense has been superb the past two weeks it has literally come out of nowhere and his understanding of the role we asked him to play was in an instant. Great running and a superb equaliser to push the game to extra time very close to man of the match as well.

Jacob caused a few issues like all the forwards and is an outlet he came deep to get the ball as we are trying to find that balance between pushing right on and dropping back to help in the midfield and find that gap between attacking mid and striker, had some great runs against a physical defender that appeared to scare our front three.

Ty played up front the first half and really did cause some issues due to being away from the defenders was really unlucky not to score at least once with a great save opposing keeper, went in goal the second half and really impressed me with his intelligent collection of the ball to bring it back into his penalty area and pick it up. This was great to see. Had some massive clearances with his kick out as well which was a real bonus.

Henley played an important role of putting pressure on the back line and this was evident to see his running was great and again I'm repeating myself but put the backline under pressure. Put in some big challenges on the halfway line as well which is great to see and shows he has absolutely no fear

Taaj made some very good runs down the wing and worked hard, his defensive work improved massively when he was tracking back and attacking the ball when we were under the cosh.

Overall it was disappointing to lose the game and go out but at the same time you couldn't really ask much more from the boys they all put effort in and worked hard on another day we could of score 5/6 with the chances we had but it was just one of those days and the boys should all be proud of how far we have come in such a short space of time, We topped our group and have been in some great form.

We think we have identified the issues within the team and will be tailoring the training to groups of players into areas where we think we can get more out of them and push us onto that next level and cause some upsets.

I hope we get shifnal yellow again as I feel we have some much unfinished business with them that needs addressing on the pitch and we will be ready for them.

Up the Pumas ??
