MAN OF THE MATCH

J.PODPORA

J.PODPORA gave his all with his usual non-stop running inspiring other players within the team to do the same earning himself his first M.O.M of the season.

TEAM PLAYER

J.SCOTFORD

J.SCOTSFORD's efforts were fully deserved for his second Team Player award of the season. His bravery battling for every ball whether in the air or on the floor was great to watch and helped sure up our defence as a unit.

KICK-OFF:

Sinfin were looking to keep game tight starting with 4-3-1 keeping it tight at the back and compact in midfield. There were only a couple of shots of any note from either team with the game evenly contested.

GOAL: ALLESTREE 29 MINS

After staying solid for most of the half, Allestree broke the deadlock after 29 minutes. A lack of concentration from the left side of Sinfin's midfield and defence being caught out of position creating and opportunity for Allestree's striker but S.ROBERTS made a great save low down but unfortunately it fell to their Central Midfielder who smashed it into the roof of the net leaving the keeper with no chance.

HALF-TIME: ALLESTREE JUNIORS AJAX 1 - 0 SINFIN MOOR FC

With multiple positional changes and substitutions Sinfin were looking to become more of an attacking unit although we were defensively solid at the back this caused us to be lacking in attack. Although Sinfin tried hard there wasnt much in terms of clear cut opportunities but the only one of note fell to A.PICKERS who was put through from a fantastic cross-field through ball from R.DEYAL. He was unlucky with his shot, just curling the wrong side of the post.

GOAL: ALLESTREE 55 MINS

Sinfin were looking for an equalizer and in doing so left gaps at the back and again a lack of concentration from the right side this time lead to a goal. Although it was a well taken goal with great movement and a cool finish you cant help thinking that more could have been done.

FULL-TIME: ALLESTREE JUNIORS AJAX 2 - 0 SINFIN MOOR FC

SUMMARY:

A much more solid performance than in previous weeks and a special mention goes to B.DALBY and J.SCOTFORD who were solid throughout the game at the back never giving up showing the right attitude and considering they are a year younger than the rest they are setting the example to the older boys and are a credit to the team. Also with A.PICKERS, R.DEYAL and E.HIGGINS'S recent efforts in training are starting to pay off on the pitch with them improving and gaining confidence week by week!! Keep it up boys!!

NEXT GAME:

DERBY COUNTY TIPS CENTRE (a)

This will be an opportunity for the management team to take a look at the team against the strongest opposition they will ever play this season with each player being the strongest of their relevant Grassroots teams. We as coaches will be taking this chance to give players more game time as its only a friendly and scores do not count and less pressure for the team.
