MAN OF THE MATCH

S.ROBERTS

S.ROBERTS did well to keep the score down making 4 excellent saves to keep Sinfin in the game!!

TEAM PLAYER

J.HARDING

As consistant as ever and topping it off with a cracking lob past the on rushing keeper!! One of the few players to come out the game with any credit!!

KICK-OFF:

The boys felt confident going into the game having played Littleover Dazzlers Barca in 6 friendlies over the summer and undefeated in all games against them as well as being unbeaten in the League so far this season.

Littleover made a bright start to the game peppering our goal with shots resulting in a great save from S.ROBERTS and a goaline clearence from J.HARDING putting the boys immence pressure!!

GOAL: LITTLEOVER 14 MINS

The pressure from Littleover paid-off after 14 minutes when they scored from inside the area after breaking the offside trap making it 1-0.

Pressure continued from Littleover but Sinfin were trying to get themselves back into the game with J.PODPORA having the first shot on target on 18 minutes which the keeper saved comfortably.

GOAL: LITTLEOVER 28 MINS

Sinfin went a further goal down again with the offside trap breached and their striker going clean through on goal taking on S.ROBERTS for an easy tap-in. 2-0 Littleover.

GOAL: J.HARDING 29 MINS

Barely a minute had gone when Sinfin woke up to get themselves back into the game when from Littleover's goal-kick J.HARDING took the ball out his feet first-touch seeing the keeper trying to close him down early so he volleyed it over the keeper and into the back of the net. 2-1

GOAL: LITTLEOVER 30 MINS

Just when Sinfin thought that they had got themselves back into the game they go and throw it back to the opposition allowing their central midfielder to run through our entire minfield and defence and slot the ball home to make it a comfortable 3-1 lead.

HALF-TIME: LITTLEOVER DAZZLERS BARCA 3 - 1 SINFIN MOOR FC

The seond half saw a different game with Sinfin taking the game to the opposition with a bit more fight and encouragement within the team and attacking with a bit more purpose however it was Littleover that increased their lead further.

GOAL: LITTLEOVER 45 MINS

Sinfin huffed and puffed at Littleovers goal but against the run of play it was Littleover that secured the victory in the end to make it 4-1 and the final result.

FULL-TIME: LITTLEOVER DAZZLERS BARCA 4 - 1 SINFIN MOOR FC

SUMMARY:

A bit of a physical lesson that I hope the players will learn from next time. There was not much in the game and had we not easily conceed after J.HARDING's goal to make it 2-1 at the time we may have seen a different game in the end. Alot of positves in the second half with us tightening up at the back and only losing that half 1-0. It was obvious at the end of the match that the game meant more to them than us like they had just won the world cup as it was their first victory against us over the summer!!

NEXT GAME:

LITTLEOVER DAZZLER REAL - CUP MATCH

This will be an opportunity for the boys to rectify the defeat by trying to overcome their rivals B-Team. A better performance overall is expected from the management and if we can take the positives from todays game into next week then I cant see why not.
