On 14 March 2026, Tenisons III welcomed Dorkinians 6th to Archbishop Tenison's School Sports Ground #1 for a league home match that kicked off at 2:00pm. The hosts delivered a commanding performance to secure a 4-0 victory over their opponents in a tightly controlled 90-minute contest

Tenisons III lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking creativity. Bob Tullet in goal, supported by a back four comprising George Toner at right back, central defenders Tom Minns and Jeremy Barton, and George Woodger on the left. The midfield double pivot featured Dre Robinson and Liam Mepham, tasked with both breaking up play and initiating attacks. Ahead of them, Sean Smith operated on the right wing, Luke Hinds took the central attacking midfield role, and Sahr Gbembo occupied the left attacking midfield position, all supporting lone striker Garth Foley. The substitutes available were Jay Shann, Melvin Osadolor, and Christian Hall.

The match’s first significant moment came in the 27th minute when the Dorkinians 6th Captain was forced off with serious knee injury, reducing the visitors to ten men and shifting the momentum firmly in Tenisons III’s favour. Six minutes later, George Toner opened the scoring with a spectacular long-range strike that left the opposition goalkeeper with no chance, sending the home crowd into raptures.

Shortly after the goal, Tenisons III made a double substitution in the 35th minute, bringing on Jay Shann for Liam Mepham and Melvin Osadolor for the striker Garth Foley. This tactical change injected fresh energy into the side and paid dividends before half-time. In the 42nd minute, Melvin Osadolor doubled the lead, expertly finishing with a bullet header from a Luke Hinds corner.

The first half concluded with Tenisons III comfortably in control, leading 2-0 and looking well-organised both defensively and offensively.

Early in the second half, Christian Hall replaced left back George Woodger in the 50th minute, signalling a tactical tweak to maintain defensive stability. Later, in the 65th minute, George Woodger returned to the pitch, this time substituting for central midfielder Dre Robinson, indicating a reshuffle in midfield roles.

Melvin Osadolor continued to impress, netting his second goal of the match in the 75th minute after a well-timed assist from right attacking midfielder Sean Smith. This goal effectively put the game beyond doubt, with Tenisons III now three goals clear.

Just five minutes later, in the 80th minute, Sahr Gbembo added a fourth goal for the hosts, finishing off a move initiated by central defender Jeremy Barton, who provided the assist. This goal highlighted the team’s fluidity and ability to score from various positions on the pitch.

Shortly after, in the 81st minute, Garth Foley was reintroduced to the match, replacing the goal scorer Sahr Gbembo, allowing the striker to regain some minutes on the pitch as the game wound down.

Throughout the match, Tenisons III demonstrated tactical discipline, clinical finishing, and effective use of their squad depth. The early injury to Dorkinians 6th certainly influenced the flow, but the home side capitalised fully on their numerical advantage to secure a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
