Away league match played on 21 April 2011.
Kicked off at 6:15 AM

Was important that we got somrthing out of this game and we did despite the way i played, Tees Valley had a strong team out and despite going 2-0 up we battled to take it to 2-2 then 3-3 by the end of the 90.

The game was played out with both teams having better spells throughout the game, Tees Valley scored first though with a hopeful ball over that wasnt dealt with either myself or our keeper, and the striker heading past at close range after the ball bounced in the box.

The next was a ball played to the strikers feet who turned and then ran through on goal, again a defensive mistake by myself, to let him slide the ball in at the near post.

The next bit of the half was all ours though with mett taking a hold and dispatching a few threatening balls past and over the Tees valley defence the first which evaded the right back and slipped morley through to volley past the keeper.

We were ontop now and looking like getting back in the game and when there was a clear penalty awarded after it looked likely that Mett was going to header an eqaulizer from close range after a whipped cross from Blackburn, R.Steel stepped up to take the penalty and lash the ball down the middle of the goal to take us to 2-2.

We started the 2nd half better and were in control for the first 20 minutes, and came close on a few occasions, with mett hitting the keeper and unlucky not to get us ahead after the ball bobbled to his feet from 3 yards out, rather than a missed chance though it was an excellent save from the Tees Valley keeper.

We had 2-3 chances second half that could have had us clear in the game and as in terms of clear chances were ahead of Tees valley.

When a corner was taken around the 80th minute though a volley was squeezed in at the near post after some poor and inexcusable marking from me who was having an awful game.

Yet again though the resilence and determination of the whole team showed, and is a joy to see, a lot different from the previous season and first half of this one, we are starting to play for each other and despite me costing the team 2 clear goals and maybe putting peoples heads down, we scored a minute later to take it to 3-3, and people bailed me out of costing us points so thanks to all for that.

The goal came from a pin point ball to M.Wildon who bombed down the right side got a shot away which ballooned over the advancing keeper and defender and left C.Hall with a 2 yard tap in to take us level.

There was'nt many other oppertunities after that and the draw was probably a fair result after some awful defending from myself, felt quite lucky and proud that everyone dug in and took us from 2-0 down to scure the point and almost make certain of the league title.

There was a few stand out performances obviously mine for being so bad, but Mett,Morley,Shatty and Mark healey all enjoyed an outstanding game.

Scruffies is the next and last game of our league season, lets go out there, get some confidence and a result to take into the last game of our 2010/2011 season which will be the Hunter Cup final.
