Home league match played on 20 September 2009.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Trying to get the season back on track after the display against The Fountain the game got underway with no official referee and the whole 90 minutes was generally played in good spirits between both the teams.

The game got underway with some loose passing and bad touches which seemed to make the game scrappy and not exactly appealing on the eye for both teams.

The first chance and goal of the game fell to M.Wildon after he chased down a loose back pass managed to get a block on the keepers clearence and then chased the ball down dummied and volleyed into the gaping goal, an excellent individual effort which woke up both teams and led to the game changing instantly.

Riverside Rovers were then putting on some pressure in an attempt to get into the game and got their luck when a ball was played down the right and a low cross was squirmed into the box and finished.

The game was then played out quite evenly and a chance fell to M.Wildon with a ball over the top which just drifted over the Rovers goal, a sign the Wildon was sharp and up for the game.

The 3rd goal of the game came when a ball down the Rovers right was put in and then tapped in at the back post after a few failed attempts at clearing the ball from the Ormesby defence.

Some vital tactics and motivation from Alan Steel led to the Ormesby heads being picked up and looking for the goal straight from the 2nd half kick off.

The response didnt take long when a ball over was passed to M.mett and accurately volleyed down to M.Wildons feet for him to easily slot home his and Ormesby's 2nd of the game.

The game shifted in ormesby's Favour having all the play after the break and it didn't take long when S.Phelps was sent on the edge of the box with a through ball but was blocked off and fouled and giving as a free kick.

M.Wildon whipped and ball to the front post which was met with a glancing header by H.Ahmed for his first of the season and yet another contribution from the already man of the match M.Wildon

The last goal of the came after a half that continued much like it started with the only chances coming for Rovers off the break, some play from Ormesby led to a ball being played up and over the Rovers defence by S.Phelps who came on for R.Steel who suffered a bad tackle and had to be substituted on 65 mins, and was latched onto by a ravenous and confident M.Wildon, and was simply finished past the keeper far post after beating the whole back line with a good touch, some excellent dribbling and a confident finish in the 70th min.

An excellent result again but with us yet again taking 20 minutes to get into the game and showing a few defensive frailties which had to be addressed at half time, a good turn around and excellent attitude saw us winning this game more so than our football, when we get the football to match the teams spirit and attitude our results will get better and mistakes fewer.

M.Wildon was awarded man of the match for providing that spark we needed scoring a hatrick and providing the assist for the other goal so was awarded a rating of 10.

Everyone else done well but some players did stand out more than others which is why the difference between ratings is the way it is and with no-one having a poor game, all should feel proud with their contributions for the day.
