Home league match played on 08 March 2015.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Another massive game for us again against the new league leaders after we had demolished whiston from top spot last week this weeks challenge was fitzwilliam arms. With them only suffering 2 defeats all season we had to be at our best today. 2 changes from last weeks victory was a change in goal and on wing going in our familiar 4231 housley in goal bk 4 of squires scott dono n rob dukey n ryan was the holding 2, After impressing in training conlon got is first start of 2015 on the right of the attacking 3 with brunyee n jake leaving parkey to lead the line. W e only had 3 subs this week tommo n jimmy and with a welcome return to the ttc side after 2 years away was centre bk blythey.

We finally won a toss and chose to kick up the hill first half giving us the advantage of the slope 2nd half. We set off really well and had a few really good chances to take the lead. Some quality play with both wingers heavily involved in opening 10/15 mins. And we finaly took a well deserved lead a long throw from brunyee and a lovely glancing header from ian nestles in far corner of net. We continued playing well and creating but fitz had come into game a little and had a few chances of there own with housley making 2 really good saves. Fitz finaly got a lucky break through to level the scores from a goal mouth scramble that ending up been an own goal. On base of play i dont think they deserved it. We responded very well and took control of last 25 mins of half and not long after they ad equalized parkey comes up with another subime lob around 35 yards out to put us bk into the lead. An excellent team move saw jake get other side of the defence and was unfairly brought down stonewall pen. Ryan stepped up and put it away to give us a 3-1 ht lead fitz was lucky that it wasnt more such was our dominance.

we set off really well 2nd half and should have really killed the game jake parkey conlon all had excellent chances in opening 20 mins. Fitz started to come on strong and had quite a few long throws corners into our box but we stood strong bk 4 was winning most if they wasnt heading it away housley was there to sort the danger out. 1st change came around 70th minute due to injury, brunyee had took a wack on the leg so a stright swap and returning to ttc squad after 2 weeks away on gardening leave was tom who slotted in just behind parkey. The game got fairly stretched last 15 mins and it was a bit end to end which wasnt good more my ticker. 2nd change came with 13 mins left scott had bk problems so on come the returning blythey who slotted straight in to is usual centre bk roll. A great team move down the left and a little megs saw rob racing through on goal whos shot just went over the bar. 3rd My final change came which was another 1 forced on me off come the very hard working conlon to replaced by jimmy who found himself having to do a job on the right wing. Fitz get a glimmer of hope when they score to make it 3-2 from a clear offside position the ref failed to give. Squeaky bum time ? nope couple of minutes later a fine through ball from tom to parkey who did what he ad done all game bullied there bk line and keeper to slot home to give us a well deserved 3 points.

Overall another great team performance every 1 performed there jobs as asked we was very organised and disciplined and focused. Fully deserved the win well done boys quality today utc.
