Home league match played on 21 April 2013.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

In our final game of the season with nothing up for stake we decided to put the names and positions in the hat for the draw, A tense changing room sat and waited to here there fate as kelly n tara began the draw this is how it all unfolded,

jamie in goal ryan left bk shaun right bk parkey n tommo at the heart of the defence right mid was azza and left mid was rougvie the centre mid pairing of karl n jake which left bret n kyle uptop

1st half we looked a bit shakey as players was getting used to there positions and ship took advantage of this when there leading goalscorer rifled 2 goals home in the opening 15 mins, But our heads dint go we got to grips to were we was playing and was unlucky not to pull 1 bk immediately from kick off which saw kyle drag a shot just wide of the post. Our belief ad now grown and we was pressing the ship and from a resulting corner and a bit of goalmouth scrammble tommo cooly finds a gap through to the bottom corner and makes it 2-1 game on. The Massive pavillion crowd was really getting behind the team now and u could see it rub of on the players and with some great two touch football and a little loft over the defence by karl put kyle through who smashed an unstoppable shot into the opposite corner of the goal 2-2 to take us into the break all level.

2nd half we set off really well playing some good stuff but just failed to turn it into a goal, against run of play they hit a 20 yard screamer where housely was equal to it tipping it round for a corner, but disaster from the resulting corner an own goal by karl who flicked it into his own net if only he wunt av lost all his hair at the age of 29 it would av probably flicked it over bar instead of the net.

my response 3 changers rob on for shaun jimmy on for bret conlon on for rougvie,

the 3 subs made an impact into the game,  conlon having best 30 mins he's ever had in a thrybergh shirt and was unplayable a smart team move and a lovely 1 2 with conlon into kyle with a cheeky return from is right foot sees conlon clean through with the keeper coming out he delightfully lobs him to put us back on level turms 3-3, not long after he returns the favour with a mazy run down the wing cutting into the box and putting it on a plate for starkey to tap home his 2nd and for the first time of the game put us into the lead. Ship was really under the cosh now and didnt really cause us many problems our two centre halfs n full bks was handling anything they did through at us. Our 5th goal came not long after identical to the last great work by conlon down the left again who this time presented jimmy with a tap in to send the pavillion crowd into raptures applause. 5-3 games over but it was fitting in the last 5 mins that conlon finnished the scoreing from a perfect corner by azza a bullit header gives conlon a much deserved double as he was the star of the show for the 30 mins he was on.

ft 6-3 great effort togetherness and spirit shown to day guys to take us into the summer break with a wee smile utc

watever :)
