Away league match played on 17 February 2013.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

We took a strong 15 man squad for our away trip to thurcroft were a win would see hatfield arms relegated.

There was 2 changes to the starting line up from last week the absent craig moore was replaced by lee hopkinson and kyle starkey came in for shaun. We lined up in our new formation 4 2 3 1 with jamie in net azza droping in at right bk and kyle bk in at centre half to partner ryan with rob making up the bk 4.  the holding 2 was karl and chris warbo jake rougvie made up our midfield 3 with parkey leading the line. Which left a very strong bench of shaun, tommo, jimmy, conlon, and a welcome return for bret to the 1st team squad.

We set off slowly and hatfield ad better of opening play but we grew into game and took control an created our first opening were jake was clean through  but instead of slotting home lost is composure and hit it sky high over the bar few minutes later he finds himself free at the backpost were yet again he failed to capatalise. a few more chances missed then as it as been all season the opposition with there first effort on goal take the lead great header top corner. We responded well with some nice play which resulted in bk to bk corners which we failed to convert into a goal. Our next best chance came when karl looped the ball over to a unmarked jake who delivered a first time cross which was cleared bk to him and first time with his right foot he loops the ball bk in were its met and smashed by parkey from point blank range straight into the keepers face to sum how keep the hosts infront at HT.

Great start to the 2nd half were we score straight from ko lovely through ball from jake to warbo who cooly slotted home in the bottom corner. on basis of play it is just what we deserved. we was still creating the better chances. We nearly ad a stupid moment when jamie miss kicked a ball to there striker to leave him clean through on goal but he makes a great recovering double save followed by 1 of there players smahing ball miles over the bar lucky escape,  on that i make the first change of the game after 65 mins straight swap karl off tommo on same formation, we probably then created our best chance of the half barring the goal as sum great build up play sees parkey through rounds keeper but a slightly heavy touch makes the angle tight and his effort was cleared another chance gone begging. Time to introduce another attacker to the field as the returning jimmy replaces rougvie with jake going out to left and parkey dropping in whole with jimmy uptop. next 5 mins was a bit end to end with hatfield av a succession of corners which we defended very well. So time to call upon my record scorer who as been out of form all season but can the fortunes change on he comes in replace of jake who ad run his socks off. We didnt av to wait long as parkies powerfull shot his saved by the goalie but rebounds to shaun on pen spot with 2 players bk on goal line can he find the gap ? yes he can 2-1 fully deserved. that should have been 3-1 when there player trips parky 3 yards inside the box but fails to give a spot kick saying it was outside the box. justice was done with 5 minutes to go from a corner a clean powerfull header by man of match parkey who smashes into the roof of the net and a goal is performance deserved. But it still wasnt over the ref anted to av the last say in the game and gave a ridiculous penalty to hatfield for handball which was just a joke. lovely taken penalty to mae the score line 3-2 which on chances created really flattered hatfield.
