Away league match played on 13 March 2016.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

For the long away trip to todwick villa the squad was down to 15 players with all 4 full bks unavailable. So not for the 1st time this season i had to rely on my assistant to chuck the boots on again. We had a good welcome return to the squad of ryan n dosh fom long term injuries. So with 6 changes from last weeks 11 we lined up in our usual 4231 formation with housley in goal a bk 4 of ian ryan dosh n alan sean n hammon was the holding 2, jonni jonty n wayne was the midfield attacking 3 with captain for the day parkey leading the line. There was a 4 man bench of conlon reynolds matty n rougvie.

On winning the toss we decided to defend the slope 1st half. We set off really well keeping the ball and creating a few half chances, jonni had a few decent efforts and parkey blazed over after a good team move. A freekick given to todwick which was a terrible decision gave them a chance to put the ball in the box which they did and from there first chance took the lead against the run of the game. We never let our heads drops and carried on on the front foot. We created a decent chance down the left when al played wayne in which he was a bit unlucky with his effort. We came in at ht unbelievably 1-0 down after a great 45 mins.

Simple words at half time more of the same and the goals will come.

We didnt have to wait too long either with a long clearance from housley jonni lashed on to it turned is man and unleashed a screamer to make it 1-1. Todwick had a good 5 minute spell after that and from a goulmouth scramble which a freekick should have been awarded to housley there lad shoots and ryan blocks it with his hands penalty and straight red. Todwick scored the pen and made it 2-1 and now were down to 10. We had spoke about character and team spirit b4 the game and it was really needed now and you didnt dissapoint we was outstanding. We changed to 351 and didnt look bk A great team move and good work from parkey down the left, squared the ball across the 6 yard box for sean to tap in. Our momentum was very good, how the game was been played it was like todwick ad the ten men not us. We found the third and winning goal from a corner swung in from sean were ian rose above there lads and nodded home with around 15 mins left. 1st change came after the goal off came wayne who had put in a great shift down the left to be replaced by rougvie. Todwick had a few moments from set pieces we but we was defended them well and always looked dangerous on the brake. Jonni had run is race and put in a great shift and was replaced by matty on the right. Matty Was only for a minute b4 he had a half decent chance but ball was played just a bit behind him and he couldnt manage to get a decent effort away. With the game just entering the last 10 reynolds replaced parkey with jonty going uptop. We did have a nervy few minutes with todwick smashing the ball long and winning a few corners but we defended well and never gave them a decent chance to equalise. 4th n final change came off came the man who must have covered every blade of grass on the pitch jonty to be replaced by conlon. We saw the last few minutes of the game out well to take a fully deserved 3 points home.

After a few words b4 the game i was hoping to get a positive reaction from every 1 and that i did every 1 put a shift in today, And after playing 40 minutes with 10 men how we did you can all be proud of yourselfs. Well done boys utc
