three magpies 2 vs 2 Thrybergh Top Club

Again and for the 2nd week running we find our selfs short on numbers with only 13 available.

We changed back to 352 today been on the small pitch lining up nick in goal a bk 3 of ian ryan dosh, Josh n conlon played the wing backs with jonty dukey n sam the midfield 3 leaving parkey n jonni uptop. An unwell mel and rougvie was on the bench.

We set off well and was awarded a pen for handball with 1st 5 minutes can jonni keep his 100% spotkick record You bet, well taken sending the keeper the wrong way. We had a good spell after that but couldnt manage to get the 2nd and maggies come back into it and after a lovely cross the levelled the scores with a tap in at back post. It became a bit scrappy after that but just b4 half time we managed to get ourself's back into the lead a lovely pass from jonni to parkey who raced clear and made no mistake tucking it away to the keepers left.

2nd half the wind had got up in maggies favour so it was a bit of backs against the wall for us.

We had a few good moments on counter and we should have been awarded a free kick and there keeper been sent off when he impeded josh but nothing given ?? We was finding it difficult to keep hold of the ball we made our 1st change with rougvie replacing josh. And again our keeper as pulled off some excellent saves especially the reaction save that deflected off ryan. Our 2nd change came with mel replacing conlon. We defended so well but maggies got a lucky break when a goal mouth scramble dropped straight to there lad who made no mistake from 3 yards out.

We deservedly hung on till end and had a chance ourselfs with a free kick 20 yards out but couldnt make it count.

Overall great response from last weeks horrow show great effort by every 1 well done boys.
