Tiki Taka Dortmund travelled to Top Park on 13th May 2026 for a mid week league away fixture against Ramsbottom United Raptors, kicking off at 6:30pm. The match lasted 70 minutes plus injury time, with Dortmund emerging emphatically victorious 5-1.
Deploying a 4-3-3 formation, Tiki Taka Dortmund set up with Kamsy Anajemba in goal. The back four consisted of Nikita Velicka at right back, Archie Hunt and Lawrence Nwakamma as central defenders, and Nathen Platt on the left. The midfield trio featured Yasin Mohammed on the right, Zac Leach centrally, and Zac Humphries-Deveney on the left. Up front, the attacking trio was Brajan Staszkowicz on the right wing, Favour Ajumobi leading as striker, and Alex Maoneo on the left wing. This setup was designed to balance defensive solidity with wide attacking options and central creativity. The substitutes named were Oscar Manders, Finley Barlow, and Inno Maoneo.
From the outset, Dortmund’s defensive line was alert, with Archie Hunt clearing some early danger from the home team in the third minute. The visitors pressed forward quickly, and Yasin Mohammed tested the Ramsbottom keeper with a shot on seven minutes, though it was comfortably saved. Ramsbottom tried to respond, but Lawrence Nwakamma’s well-timed tackle in the 14th minute prevented a promising chance. Nikita Velicka followed suit with a crucial tackle two minutes later, maintaining Dortmund’s defensive composure. Nathen Platt also contributed defensively with a solid tackle on the 20-minute mark, with Ramsbottom looking dangerous in the early stages of the match.
The breakthrough came in the 25th minute when Brajan Staszkowicz delivered a precise cross from the right, allowing Favour Ajumobi to slot home from close range with his right foot, a fine team move that put Dortmund ahead, probably against the run if play. However, the lead was short-lived as Ramsbottom United Raptors equalised three minutes later with a goal from inside the box, restoring parity at 1-1.
Shortly after, an injury forced Dortmund into an early substitution as Oscar Manders replaced the injured Lawrence Nwakamma in the 29th minute. The visitors’ goalkeeper, Kamsy Anajemba, was called into action in the 34th minute, producing a vital parry to keep the score level. The half concluded at 35 minutes, with the score level at 1-1.
Dortmund started the second half on the front foot, Yasin Mohammed fired wide on 37 minutes, missing a chance to regain the lead. But Dortmund soon struck again in spectacular fashion. On 39 minutes, Oscar Manders sent a long pass forward to Alex Maoneo, who unleashed a stunning left-footed strike from outside the box, a genuine screamer that put Dortmund 2-1 ahead. Finley Barlow came on for Favour Ajumobi in the 40th minute, to add some fresh legs in attack.
Defensively, Archie Hunt was instrumental, heading away a dangerous ball in the 43rd minute and making a crucial tackle at 45 minutes to deny Ramsbottom any further opportunities. Anajemba remained alert, catching a cross at 46 minutes to maintain Dortmund’s advantage.
Attempts continued from Dortmund’s players, with Yasin Mohammed shooting high at 47 minutes and Zac Humphries-Deveney firing wide at 49 minutes. The visitors extended their lead on 51 minutes when Alex Maoneo, again involved, provided a cross for Yasin Mohammed to finish neatly inside the box with his left foot.
Another injury substitution followed at 55 minutes, with Inno Maoneo replacing Nathen Platt. Anajemba’s goalkeeping prowess was on display again at 57 minutes, making a point-blank reaction save to deny Ramsbottom a chance to get back into the game. Brajan Staszkowicz tested the keeper with a shot that was saved at 59 minutes.
Defensively, Zac Leach blocked a dangerous effort with his gyatt at 62 minutes, preventing a clear chance, and Oscar Manders made a key tackle a minute later to keep the opposition at bay. Dortmund’s attacking threat was relentless, with Alex Maoneo scoring his second goal of the evening at 65 minutes, this time finishing inside the box with his left foot.
Maoneo completed his hat-trick three minutes later, receiving a short pass from Brajan Staszkowicz and calmly slotting home another left-footed finish inside the box, sealing Dortmund’s commanding 5-1 victory. Just before the final whistle, Favour Ajumobi struck the crossbar with a powerful effort at 69 minutes, narrowly missing out on adding to the scoreline.
Alex Maoneo’s outstanding performance, highlighted by his hat-trick and overall influence, earned him the player of the match accolade as Tiki Taka Dortmund secured a comprehensive and confident win on the road.
