Unique FC U14 7 vs 3 EDC

Chaps!

What a turn-around and what a performance from 20 mins onwards.

Players missing and we dug deep (siege mentality) so much to enjoy in the 2nd,3rd,4th quarter.

We started the game actually ok but gave two really soft goals away boys but I loved the response to that, the first quarter break couldn’t come soon enough and after making some changes and bringing Bailey back into wide areas and playing with a more vocal point with Lemar as the 9 we turnt the game around.

Leon and Ethan I thought you worked your socks off today & gave us the bite we needed at times, I thought physically we may get overrun but you more than stood up to the challenge.

Kai Gordon excellent bombing up and down the right & another great finish, I thought Max and Mal looked solid as a partnership, just ensure you don’t get caught under the ball lads, first goal you are caught square and too high meaning one ball beat you both.

Today felt like we had our identity back, neat and tidy in midfield, wingers flying, Lemar a threat in behind, there was period from min 20 - 60 where they simply couldn’t handle the intensity we played at well done lads, great reaction.

In regards to when it got a bit tasty in the 2nd quarter, I loved how you all looked after each other that’s the culture you need to be a successful team, don’t be silly and get yourself sent off, but always look after your team mates.

Boys so many positives to take from today heading into a massive game tomorrow.

Momentum is a massive thing in football & that will bode well for tomorrow.

I really am enjoying seeing us narrow off as a back 3 with George tucking in & Kai joining in and us at times playing with a front 4, it’s very tough for teams to defend when we do this, but we have to make sure we are secure on the ball.

Bailey tremendous Hat trick well done.
