Unique FC U14 2 vs 3 Erith Town U14 KYL

Such a disappointed feeling right now in a game we was in absolute total control of how we have come away with 0 points is painful & I hope your hurting as much as me today.

We finally had balance in the way we set up, two fullbacks in Doneil and George for the first time this season & we were able to play a 4-3-3 which I think suits us best in the way we want to play.

I thought we moved the ball really well, I lost count of how many times, our full backs and wingers got in good areas and put balls in the box and it felt like a matter of time before we scored following some great play by Henry to win the penalty, I thought we were going to smell blood & put Erith to the sword after that, they had no real structure just try to compete & we gifted them a equaliser in my opinion.

Again after that I thought the reaction was good & we took the lead, following great work by Doneil, Bailey 2 x great penalty’s your output in terms of goals and assists thus far this season has been excellent, keep it up!

After that lads we just couldn’t seem to finish the game off, balls flashed across the box AND way too many times we lacked the composure to take a extra touch, make a extra pass when it was on, the moment we turnt it into a fight it suited them way more than it suited us.

I need to watch the goals back on the VEO (2nd & 3rd) but chaps how much more work can we do as a group on set pieces, if we continue to give the soft goals away that we are at the moment we are forever going to be chasing games & it can’t happen lads, I’m going to watch the back and build the session Thursday around it to get this nailed down.

Im gutted as I actually felt we moved it well for periods boys but we are in a rut of giving soft goals away & it will kill us as a group.

Let’s get back to work Thursday and make sure you watch the VEO back before then.
