Matt Jones brought  a depleted Warley Boro to Brandhall looking to build on last week's accomplished performance. Missing Dan C. (Injury) Dylan, Junior (family commitments) and having Colm barely able to walk through injury the lads took to the pitch with the odds stacked against them. Although dangerous on the break it was Brandhall who drew first blood on 10 minutes after hesitancy in the Warley defence let the colts No 9 weave a mazy run through them and fire home through an acute angle. 5 minutes later and it was 2-0. A rash challenge on the edge of the Warley box resulted in the free kick being slotted home neatly by the same colt. The boys were rattled but a sustained level of pressure saw them score 2 in 5 minutes as they took the game by the scuff of the neck. First some good work from MOTM Dan F. on the left saw Reece forward the ball to Sam whose run inside the box saw him blast a cracker off the inside of the post and then the scorer turned provider as Connor scored the leveler smashing home from 10 yards and end the scoring in a pulsating half. HT Brandhall Colts 2 Warley Boro 2

The second half started as the first finished with Warley pressing hard for their third. With an inspired goalkeeper the Colt defence held their ground and fought bravely to repel the warley boys. They were rewarded with a fortuosous third as Colm fell victim to a classic goalkeeping howler. In all fairness to the lad he played through great pain and playing was a credit to he's commitment to the team. Warley again fought hard to force the equaliser and a series of corners ended with Sam grabbing he's second and Warley's third to equalise after 73 minutes. As the game drew to a close it was Brandhall who hit Warley on the break with the impressive No9 beating the defence, rounding the keeper and then firing past the warley defenders to complete he's hatrick and take all 3 points. Final Score: Brandhall Colts 4 Warley Boro 3.

Warley played some scintalating football this weekend but dropped a massive 3 points. To score 3 goals away from home and still lose points the finger at the defenders who switched off too many times and allowed Brandhall to sneak all 3 points. A devasting defeat, our second of the season means next weeks Hasbury game means we need to put things right...and quickly.
