Away cup match played on 04 October 2008.
Kicked off at 9:30 AM

Holloway laid the ball to Komboni who launched the ball up-field, trying to catch the Panthers on the hop, but their defence were not fooled.  The Panthers then attacked, firing a long ball forward but Tadd, the Knights keeper was the quickest to react, bringing the ball under control.   Blackbourn & Greenaway combined clearing the ball for Holloway to chase; he collected & raced down the wing, crossing the ball into the danger area; however, Doel & Courtnage were unable to connect & slot home a goal.  Later Holloway & Powell moved the ball towards the Panthers goal, Holloway’s shoots wide.  As the Panthers took their goal-kick, Holloway intercepted; he surged forward, took aim, firing in a powerful shot which flew into the top of the Panthers net.  After the re-start the Panthers attack, a lone striker was bearing down on goal, Tadd rushed out diving at his feet, grapping the ball; but as both players collided the ball bounced loose, Tadd quickly stretch out his arms to happily gather the ball.  He cleared the ball up-field to Borachan who crossed the ball into the Panthers area, but the final shot by Greenaway just skipped wide.  Attack followed attack, the Knights putting pressure onto the Panthers defence, & shoots by Borachan, Doel & Holloway were saved.  The Panthers again applied the pressure, but the Knights defence held their line, the Panthers were forced to try a long range shot.  The shot was high & very well struck, clearing the heads of the Knights defence; Tadd, slightly unsighted, tried to reach the ball but was unable, goal Panthers.

During another attack Holloway received the ball from Powell, he skipping passed a couple of defenders, which opened up a shooting opportunity, unfortunately he scooping the ball wide.  Holloway & Powell again moved the ball forward with the aid of Courtnage, who crossed the ball into the penalty area; Powell pounced, slotting the ball into the net.  After this the Panthers seem to be more determined than ever to score another goal; as they force the play, they left their goal slightly exposed.  Blackbourn & Komboni cleared the ball, releasing Holloway; Holloway quickly made his way forward, skipping passed the keeper flicking his shot goal-ward.  The ball looked bound for the net but the post came to the Panthers aid, but this was short lived as Holloway kept running & side footed the ball into the net.  After the re-start Powell collected the ball releasing Borachan, his shot was saved again by the Panthers keeper.   With only moments remaining Holloway again tried his luck, letting go a powerful shot but the Panthers keeper again made a good save, denying Holloway his hat-trick.   Due to the way Powell played throughout the match, setting up scoring opportunities, & scoring himself, made the managers choice of man of the match easy and quickly awarded this to Powell.
