Home league match played on 03 November 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

2 minutes extra time played.

Two of the leagues early pace setters contested this eagerly anticipated fixture on a cold morning at Aldersley.

The game started off with both teams having half chances with maybe Wolves & Perton having the better of the them. The deadlock was broken after around eighteen minutes when a cross from Ste Worley on the right missed everyone and sailed passed the keeper to give the home side the lead 1-0!

Wolves & Perton were now playing with confidence and were soon rewarded when a Ste Worley corner found its way to the back post where Nathan Lodge headed down to Jason Parmer who was there to smash home to double wolves' advantage 2-0!

This made Corinthians up their game as they started to pass the ball around with pace on both wings threatening the wolves defence, they were rewarded when the Corinthians striker forced his way into the penalty area after riding a couple of challenges the ball broke to Rob Leachman to trickle the ball home 2-1!

HT - The half time whistle blew and the result seemed a fair assessment of the first half.

The second half started off with real pace with both teams threatening to score. Then a run from Luke Werhun into the area played in Nat Lodge who was then bundled over and a penalty was awarded to the home side, Ste Worley stepped up and confidently converted by for his second of the game! 3-1!

This decision seemed to infuriate the Corinthian players and shortly after they had their captain sent from the field of play, although this seemed harsh and at this point the referee seemed to lose control of the game.

With the away side down to 10 men Wolves & Perton pressed forward and were awarded a corner, it was whipped in by Luke French to the front post where the ball scrambled through to Luke Werhun to bundle the ball over the line, no more than he deserved after running his socks off all game! 4-1!

The rest of the game was seen out comfortably by Wolves & Perton and the score line represented a fair result for the home team who thoroughly deserved their win.

FT - A great start to the season for us as we move 3 points clear at the top of the league!

Good luck to Corinthians SK throughout the season we look forward to travelling to your place later on in the season!
