The team was founded in 2007 by a group of friends who wanted to play football together. They started out in the second tier of the league, but were promoted to the first tier in their very first season.

The team has a strong record in cup competitions, having won the Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley Challenge Cup in 2010 and 2012. They have also reached the final of the Welsh Amateur Cup on two occasions.

The team's home ground is the Ystrad Mynach Playing Fields. They play their home matches on Sundays at 2pm.

The Taff Ely & Rhymney Valley Football League is an amateur football league in South Wales. It was founded in 1920 and currently has 20 clubs. The league is divided into two divisions, with the top division being known as the Premier Division.

The league champions are promoted to the Mid Glamorgan League, while the bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to Division 1.
