History

Trident was founded in 1972 by a group of friends who wanted to play football together. The club started out in the Stroud & District Sunday League, and they won the league championship in their first season. In 1974, Trident joined the Stroud & District League, and they have been playing there ever since.

Trident has won the Stroud & District League championship 10 times, and they have also won the league cup 6 times. The club has also reached the final of the FA Vase on two occasions, in 1992 and 2003.
