Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League

The league was formed in 1981 by clubs in the Craven area to create a local junior competition for players aged 11 and above. It later introduced mini soccer for children aged 6 to 10 in 2012. Today it presents a route through both mini-soccer and youth football, with the league’s own guidance distinguishing the mini-soccer section (under-7 to under-10) from youth football at under-11 to under-18 level.

For families and clubs, the league covers a broad junior age range from 6 to 18. Its published aim is to provide safe, competitive football while encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork.
