Introduction

The S??????LEAGUE is an amateur football league in England affiliated to the Amateur Football Alliance (AFA). It is based in and around Greater London and caters for 11–a–side men's adult teams.

The league was founded in 1921 and currently has 40 member clubs. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Division One.

S??????LEAGUE action

The S??????LEAGUE is a competitive league with a strong tradition of local rivalry. The current champions are Full Time FC, who won the title in 2022-23.

Rules

  • The league is played on a 11-a-side basis.
  • Matches are played over 90 minutes, with two halves of 45 minutes each.
  • A draw after 90 minutes is decided by extra time and penalties if necessary.
  • The league uses the standard offside rule.
  • The league has a strict policy on foul play.

Format

The league is divided into two divisions: the Premier Division and the Division One.

S??????LEAGUE match

The Premier Division has 18 teams, while the Division One has 12 teams.

Each team plays each other once in the regular season.

The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Isthmian League Division One North, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Division One.

The top two teams in the Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the South Eastern Counties League.
