Team News

Forsyth came back from a 2 week break, with only John Shaw (away on International Duty) and Mikey Jeffrey (2 Broken Toes) missing, looking to keep the unbeaten run going against Tango Boys.

Crabtree quoted before kickoff "im still not changing these trainers until we lose, if we lose"!

Purvis still fuming from his pre- match joint  ban was seen frolocking with a tiger in Sleights early sunday morning, was suprisingly early for the clash.

Jeffrey was ready for a battle with one of the ex Sepip players after last years fall out where both squared up, on the pre match line up both refused to shake hands making for an interesting clash. This made Wayne Bridge and John Terry look like pussy cats!

The cat had forgot the relic, Duncan Atkins from the local paper the Whitby Gazette has made a statement saying the antique road show had called to the house on Helredale road to make a significant bid? TIME will tell.

Match

A few rumbles of thunder struck above the caedmon pitch before kick off with blasts of heavy rain occasionaly left the turf slick, making the conditions blustery. The team gathered together at brucie headquarters before the game all making way in the Cree mobile.

As 20:10 struck the players made there way onto the pitch and started to warm up, but for some unforseen reason the match had been delayed until 20:45, rumours of a fan conjestion and maybe road works on the bridge been the reason? This made Purvis fume as he could of stayed in bed for extra 30mins and also sneak in an extra joint behind Browns back.

Eventually the match got underway, Forsyth looking to keep this unbeaten run going. Both teams started reasonably both getting used to the slick surface.

The first chance of the game fell to Borussia with midfield general Dean Jeffery shooting from long range but just going wide of the target.

Tango boys at times started to threaten "the cat" but he pounced on every ball and the ones he didnt were gobbled up by Brown and Snedden.

On 8 Minutes the breakthough came for Forsyth when a move stating from Reeves ended up finding Jord Purvis who swivvled on a 6pence and found Dean Jeffrey who calmly placed the ball out of the reach of the keeper into the bottom corner. This  is exactly what Forsyth deserved but minutes later Tango Boys levelled which many would agree was a very lucky run against play goal.

The second half kicked off with both team chasing the desisive goal, Tango boys introducing ex Fishburn player Jase Draper.

The Tango boys started off probably the best of the two with several attacks but shouts of oooossssshhhhh from Brown as he made some big tackles which would make Claud Makele pround.

Midfield General Jeffrey started to pull strings from every lose ball and could of taken the lead from one of these when Purvis came close.

Snedden tried a couple of mazey runs down the wing which most came off but failed a finnish.

Tango boys kept searching for a winner but everything was broken down and then counter attacked by Forsyth, One of the attacks lead to Crabtree flicking the ball to Brennan and from a impossible angle shot over his shoulder which clipped the top of the bar.

4 Minutes from time Forsyth got the lead when Brennan turned in the middle of the park and fed Purvis who smashed the ball into the bottom corner. Shouts were heard from Brown as he screeched with delight.

Crabtree was unlucky not to further the lead late on but hit the outside of the post.

Overall a very good team performance especially defencively and will need this next week as the top two clash.

Brucie Man of the match: Les "Bullet" Brown
