Match Report: Bridge Target vs Bankhall FC

Football lovers all over the world witnessed as exceptionally outstanding Bridge Target ripped “Title rivals” Bankhall FC to shreds on a Sunny Saturday morning.

On a morning in which Christian Brasier bagged a quadruple, the young man would not stop scoring and now he has scored 6 goals in 3 matches an average of 2 in a match. Not bad for the young Brazilian eh?

Bankhall’s lacklustre Performance down to Bridge Target’s world class attacking unit

One cannot help but notice Bankhall’s lacklustre performance which saw them 5- 0 down only in the first half. However, it would be harsh to criticise their performance as they were playing against world class attackers in the league notably LGC (Liam, Gerald and Christian).

The score was inevitable if one is being honest as one saw the likes of Bankhall’s best player Liam their left back as he kept pulling Gerald by the arm and also resulted in a nasty tackle on Gerald (thought his leg was broken) all in an attempt to stop the young man, which leads us back to Coach Alido’s famous quote “if you miss the ball, don’t miss the leg” that’s apparently how you stop the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi etc However, you’d need more than legs, arms and a legion of an army to stop Gerald. One could say you need a shotgun but I would not bet on that stopping the flying Nigerian man.

Oh boy what about Liam who got himself 5 assists the boy has drawn comparisons with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Mesut Ozil. What about his goal and the lovely pass from Gerald oh well the link up play between those two was just a beauty to watch. It’s premature to say they are title contenders but with performances like this and if Christian keeps doing nothing but banging in the goals well these lads would be unstoppable. Don’t forget the little debutant Ryan Morgan who scored 2 debut goals not bad eh? I mean he struggled to get in the game but that’s why you have the likes of Shay who will say to the young lads find him and make him feel welcome well they did find him.

Not just about the Attackers but quality defenders win games as well.

Superb Shay (SS) the veteran is just magnificent, for a 50 year old man he has a lot of drive just like playing with an old bully back in school that extorts you and takes your lunch that is what Superb Shay does to strikers. Don’t forget Jason- Oh boy did someone say he reminds him of John Stones well it is hard to argue with that, for a defensive midfielder he has grown into a natural centre back and who else to teach you how to defend if not Superb Shay. Oh and my favourite quote was from no one else but Shay who does not just motivate his team mates but also his opponents- “Common lads we are here to play football not talk about Coronation Street” oh well Shay you can’t blame them if you’re losing 9-0 to your biggest “title rivals” you might as well wallow in your sorrow and talk about Coronation Street personally I’d prefer if they talked about Eastenders.

Captain Mark Johno’s tackle on Liam though, my days! The old man from Huyton goes in hard doesn’t he? Well the way they were pulling and drew blood off his boy Gerald one could say fair play? Well I will let you decide that and if he was worth a booking. Well he did score his first goal of the season and the way he motivates his players as well. Not a bad day in the office Captain Johno. The player/coach Dan Holden made his first appearance in the season for 10 minutes and he could have made it 10-0 everything was right except the finish. Oh well Danny boy you will get your chance mate. We might let you play 15 minutes next time, I’m sure Johno would have something to say about that.

That’s it for now I am gonna go grab some domino’s pizza and some chicken wings. See you next week fellas.
