Away cup match played on 05 December 2015.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

It was a cold morning with little showers from heaven. Frontline boys were rearing to go as they have just recently completed a transfer for big Josh one of the best players in the league. But that did not faze Bridge Target who knew they needed to bounce back after such an unlucky game with Elim Bootle 2 weeks ago.

Liam opened the scoring after a brilliant pass from Ryan Morgan. Christian registered his 13th goal of the season after a team movement involving Liam and Gerald who again unselfishly passed to Christian to finish what a fine finish it was.

2-0 up Bridge Target was in control of the game amid the fact that they were playing against the wind. One cannot explain what happened but the wind blew the ball into the net. Steven King was picking it out of the net a few minutes later Josh crossed the ball and the wind again blew it inside the net.

It felt like it was going to be another unlucky day for Bridge Target but they were not having it. The manager encouraged the boys to use their wings and the pace they have got. Gerald was a thorn on John’s (left back) flesh.

Ryan Morgan now I get it. Now I get the hype behind you.

Now I get why everybody has been talking about you. You’re a nightmare to play against evidently today’s performance has shown it. The little magician kept running around and dancing around with the ball. 3 assists and 1 goal not bad at all Sir!

Football match or a Boxing match?

Rumour has it that Mark Johno will join UFC. However, we were not entertained it was more boring than May Weather and Manny’s fight of the century. If you wanted a more entertaining boxing match please go to Liverpool Echo Arena. Apparently Johno tackled the young man who got up and threw the first punch before they both started throwing punches like oranges. Now we have one question please who won the fight? From where I was standing the ‘other guy’ was attacking and Johno was running back and playing defence.

Both teams had to finish with 10 men. Bridge Target played with three at the back. They attacked and attacked before Ryan again ran riot and passed it to Gerald who pinned the defender like a statue and ran past him before putting a fine finish inside the net. He celebrated like he scored in the UCL. Ryan again putting cross in and the keeper dropped it for Liam to finish into an empty net. What a lucky guy eh? Ryan decided to go solo and score a goal, no really he dribbled everyone and scored. Easy!

The Si Effect

Bridge Target has lost only one game when Si starts and won the rest with him starting notably they conceded from set pieces but when the Big Bad Si (BBS) is there, you are not winning that aerial battle. Don’t fight it!

And Gerald was at it again. The flying Nigerian man took out all the defenders and the keeper before crossing to Craig who all he had to do was finish in an empty net. Craig Hume (Spencer Matthews) could not. People have argued that Dan Holden would have scored that okay maybe not Dan.

Gerald had a decent pass into the box from Liam the Ozil of Merseyside Christian League. Gerald quickly turned the defender and had a shot with his left foot and he hit the post. He could have scored a lot more than he did but he kept going and kept believing. Again the opportunity provided itself when Target players were all having shots. Aaron had a blocked shot before Liam arguably headed it to Gerald who finished with a low powerful shot. Aaron lifted him up and classic Gerald raising his arms up to the heaven celebrated like an angel he has scored his tenth goal of the season.

That’s it for the year boys. What a way to end it. Merry Christmas in advance gents!

Yours in perpetuity

Tosky Gerald Orji J
