Home friendly match played on 12 August 2012.

I think this game was just the reality check we needed to help us re-focus and understand that every game next season will be alot harder then last season. The blame culture that sometimes creeps into our game when things are not going to plan is something I Despise and and will do my best to Eradicate but I will need everyones help. No good will ever come of getting on a teammates back and puting them under pressure and people in glass houses really shouldn't be thowing stones!

We Started the game quite well with a experamental 4-3-3 formation that created some good chances for us to go ahead. Unforunatly we did not take those chances and Whitefoot slowley came into the game. By Playing the 4-3-3 in soon became aparant that their fullbacks were having to much of the ball and created a few chances for thir teammates. We made 3 changes bringing on two Wide players to counter that threat. Whitefoot opened the scoring shortley after with a lovely taken Left footed strike from outside of the box. Some of our players heads dropped and the blame game showed its ugly head. After missing a few sitters in the opening exchanges Mr Rawlings Then found the Target with a well taken effort after being put through by Doyle. The game then got a bit messy with nither team able to take control of things and both teams missing a few more chances. The Ref was not the best but did not deserve some of the criticism he was getting mainly from their players. I think in the end thier constant badgering of the ref at every oppertunity played into our hands.

At Half time we all had a frank dicussion & got some things out in the open that needed to be said.

In the Second Half I feel we hit the ground running and united as a team, nobody got on anyones back and we really upped our game and battled for one another. We knoked the ball around better and built from the back instead of hitting long balls up the pitch to their strogest two players @ CB. Our second goal was coming and we started to take control of the match, Mr Humm won a freekick just inside their half on the left hand side and Mr Fawcett Stepped up to deliver a wonderfull ball into the box for Mr Doyle to make it 2-1 with a header, YES you heard right Doyle and header in the same sentance lol. We created more chances after that and controlled things well which upset the other team, they continued to give te Ref Greif and eventully had a man sent off for foul play. Not long after that Mr Rawlings wrapped things up with his 2nd of the morning with a nice solo goal curled into the far corner after cutting in from the right.

Massive credit to Whitefoot for giving us a proper workout and hard Game.

I was Very pleased with how everyone reponded in the 2nd half and i hope we can carry that Fighting Spirit and togetherness into our next 3 friendlies and then into the season. No one was awarded MoM this week as everyone who voted voted for a different teammate which is a credit to how you all performed. Win as a TEAM or Lose as a TEAM we'll do it together AS A TEAM!!!
