Home friendly match played on 06 August 2017.

Bromley Road started off really well in this one and had a few good early chances to go ahead but we're denied by some good saves and some terrible finishing. Although Bromley were in control for most of the 1st half a lack of chances created and Krener being isolated up front was cause for concern. Just before half time Inter capitalised on a weak pass out from the back to punish Bromley and go into half time 1-0 up. In the Gaffer's absence Terry and Shaun suggested to the players at half time that a change in shape and Tactics were needed to get back on top and create more goalscoring opportunities. It was agreed that we'd give it 10-15 more minutes then switch to a 3-4-1-2.

The 2nd half started like the 1st half finished with Inter applying pressure and forcing a corner which was poorly dealt with at the near post by Bromley and allowing a simple tap in by an unmarked player. 2-0 to Inter. Bromley did pull one back shortly after and before the formation change. A loverly ball was played through to Meta on the right who Squared for Krener to finish.

An unfortunate injury to Gavin lead to him withdrawin to be replaced by Kerwin just before the change of Formation with seemed to do the trick and gave Bromley the advantage all over the pitch. Our 3 centre backs dealt well with the opposition front 2 and the wing backs were given licence to get as high and wide as possible when in possession thus stetching the Inter back line allowing more gaps for through balls into the front 2. Both Paul and Sharpie showed great workrate getting up and down the pitch unselfishly providing the overlaps needed to pull the Inter fullbacks out wide. The 2 holding midfielders (Lee & Phil) did very well in covering the wingbacks, breaking up play in the middle and providing some excellent passes through to the front 2 and out wide to wingbacks. Nezi got himself into some very good positions playing behind the front 2 only for his finishing to let him down. McGrath was solid in goal making some very good stops and most of the time choosing the right ball when distributing. Deffo not at fault for the 1st goal. The 2nd goal could have been avoided with better organisation from the corner and this is down to the whole team to get where Macca needs you asap.

With 3 goals and 3 assists between them both Krena and Meta looked a very dangerous partnership not only linking up well and creating chances but defending from the front not allowing the Inter back line any time to pick a pass.

As always Joey was a Rock at the back and relished the sweeper role while communicating well with those around him.

A very special mention goes to MoM Tasim with gave his everything and rarely put a foot wrong. He played very well in the RB position in the 1st half and equally as well in the 2nd half when he went to RCB. He was comfortable covering Sharpie our wide when needed and also along side the other 2 centre backs when in the middle. Great performance. Well done Tasim.

Was loverly to see Phil actually playing as when I normally get to games he's laying in a crumpled heap on the ground with some sort of injury. And the fella can play, who knew....

Well done Lads. Onto the next game where you absolutely must carry on from where you left off against Inter.
