Home league match played on 25 October 2009.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Not playing very well but getting the result, i suppose its all good. I worry that we will get turned over big time very soon!

Firstly we were a couple of players short, Chris Caddy with a chest infection and super sub Ryan Burns has been transferred to Scawthorpe Scorpions.

So step up the boys who have been telling me they should be playing - Numpt started on the left and Catty got the starting place up front.

We started ok, a bit slow tempo wise, and could have bagged our first after just 2 mins, Catty through slipped the ball wide. Not long after we did get the opener, Maddo did all the work, jinked this way and that and was about to pull the trigger when Wardy 'pushed' him out of the way and found the corner.

Before I go any further I've got a bit of a moan, why do teams turn up with no one prepared to run the line. Thats what happened today and REF John had a thankless task trying to keep control of the game and wttch for offsides. I say this because after about fifteen minutes Wardy was through on the right hand side of the box and the defender decided to barge him over, unfortunately for us The Ref didn't see it and waved play on. At half time he said he missed it because he was watching for offside! Never mind.

Anyway 15 mins gone 1 up - notplaying well. A few players well off colour, Calum was quiet and Dingle was churning the pitch up with his bottom lip!! Pumas fashioned a equaliser, not against the run of play. Well deserved. We were playing very poorly - lacking drive interest the lot. Blow for Half Time Ref please put us out of our misery.

Half Time 1 - 1

We ruffled a few feathers at half time. Calum and Dingle were bench warming after average displays. Second half started quietly and we did improve slightly. 25 mins to go we threw Ding and Cal on and hoped that there rest would have got their heads together. To be fair they both performed much better.

We started to control the game and basically pinned Pumas into ther own half. Rodders and Wardy up front well supported by Maddo Ding and Cal chances came thick and fast.

Eventually Rodders got the break through with a nice finish. Get the ball wide boys its our strength. We can murder better sides than Pumas with that type of footy. We carried on doing good work and after some good passing and wing wizardry from Cal, Rodders popped up again and got the 3rd goal. Good night Vienna!!!

Rodders two goals just about got him the MOM. Not bad bearing in mind he can do alot better.

I must mention a good display by Troz. He did well defending and going forward he was hard to read!! More like that please Troz.

The lesson from the last two weeks is TEMPO, we must set about teams and upset their rythmn and establish our own fast tempo. I believe we are the fittest quickest team in this division. Lets show the other teams! Dont show the coaches in training then go out on Sundays and be flat!!
